A connector includes a connector housing, an inner plate that supports a terminal connected to a one end portion of an electric wire and that is accommodated in an inside of the connector housing, and filler material that fills the inside of the connector housing which has accommodated the inner plate and that is then hardened so as to cover a connection part of the electric wire and the terminal. The filler material adheres to a first portion within an inner surface of the connector housing and to an outer surface of the inner plate. A release layer is provided between a second portion within the inner surface of the connector housing and an outer surface of the filler material opposite to the second portion.

Connector and injection method for filler material

A housing of a female connector has an accommodating space, an opening, and lock stoppers. The accommodating space retains a mating connector, and accommodates a slide lock member and a resilient member. The accommodating space is arranged close to a terminal accommodating chamber so as to be slidable in an engaging direction, the terminal accommodating chamber allowing a connecting terminal to be inserted thereinto. The slide lock member is biased during disengaging operation. The opening is arranged on part of the accommodating space and causes part of the slide lock member to be exposed. The lock stopper is arranged on a side surfaces of the accommodating space and suppresses movement of the mating connector. The slide lock member has a flexible disengaging arm that has a separating projection. The separating projection is pressed during the disengaging operation.

Connector disengaging mechanism

A connector fitting construction in which a half-fitted condition is positively prevented when fitting a pair of male and female connectors together, and the fitting operation and a fitting release operation can be effected easily, and a connector housing can be formed into a small size. In this connector fitting construction, the male connector includes a connector housing, and an exclusive-use housing forming a slider receiving portion for receiving a slider therein. Guide grooves for respectively guiding opposite side portions of a body of the slider are formed respectively in opposite side portions of the exclusive-use housing. A lock arm, provided at a central portion of the exclusive-use housing, includes a lock beak having a slanting surface, and a housing lock formed on a lower surface thereof at a front end thereof, and side spaces are provided respectively on opposite sides of the lock arm. The slider has a slider arm provided in the slider body, the slider arm having a pair of abutment projections. The female connector includes a pair of stopper projections, which are formed on a housing, and abut respectively against the abutment projections when the two connectors are fitted together, a slanting projection having a slanting surface, and an engagement groove.

Connector fitting construction

A connector assembly comprises a first connector housing with a flexible locking arm, and a second connector housing having an engaging section which is provided for the flexible locking arm. In the first connector housing, a shorting contactor including an elastic contact plate is set in a displacement permitting space provided for the flexible locking arm in such a manner that the elastic contact plate is displaced in association with the displacement of the flexible locking arm. In the second connector housing, a pair of engagement detecting metal terminals are provided in confrontation with the shorting contactor. When the first and second connector housings are incompletely engaged with each other, the shorting contactor is not contact with the engagement detecting metal terminals by the displacement of elastic contact plate which is due to the displacement of the flexible locking arm.
