A robot includes a base installed on an installation surface, a robot arm coupled to the base, a force detection section coupled to the base and detecting a force applied to the robot arm, a coupling member having a plurality of convex parts provided between the installation surface and the force detection section, projecting toward the force detection section side, and contacting the force detection section, and first fixing members provided in positions where the convex parts are provided and fixing the force detection section and the coupling member.

An image reading apparatus includes a document placement surface, a document cover that rotates between a closed state and an open state, a pressing portion that is disposed on the side of the document table and presses a switch, a rotary lever that is disposed on the side of the document cover and applies external force to the pressing portion, and a biasing member that biases one end side of the rotary lever in a direction that moves away from the document cover, in which when the document cover is at a predetermined angle, one end of the rotary lever pushes down the pressing portion to change the state of the switch, and in the process of displacement from the predetermined angle to the closed state, the one end of the rotary lever rotates in a direction approaching the document cover and maintains the state of the switch.

A transport apparatus includes: a separation roller pair which is operated when power is transmitted from a first motor; a resist roller pair which is operated when power is transmitted from a second motor; an assist roller pair which is disposed between the separation roller pair and the resist roller pair in the transport direction of the document; a first transmission mechanism portion which transmits the power from the first motor to the assist roller pair; a second transmission mechanism portion which transmits the power from the second motor to the assist roller pair; and a control portion which controls operation aspects of each roller pair.

A first region is defined on the head face so as to include a first group of nozzles among all nozzles formed with a recording head. A first amount is defined as a difference between a first reference position at which a leading edge of a recording medium situated at a recording start position is placed and a first shifted position at which the leading edge of the recording medium, which has been most shifted in a subscanning directions and most inclined within a feeding tolerance of a feeder, is placed. A first virtual leading edge is defined at a position where is shifted from the first reference position to a downstream side of the subscanning directions by the first amount. A second virtual leading edge at a position where is shifted from the first reference position to an upstream side of the subscanning directions by the first amount. A first type of recording is performed with the first group of nozzles, when an end of the first region in the upstream side of the first directions is situated at the first virtual leading edge. A second type of recording is performed with all the nozzles, when the end of the first region in the upstream side of the first directions is situated at the second virtual leading edge.

Recording method and recording apparatus

A mechanism for selectively switching two drive transmission systems by one driving source is provided and a rocking lever which can be rocked between a first drive transmission gear of a first drive transmission system and a first drive transmission gear of a second drive transmission system respectively located on both sides of a drive shaft is provided. A rocking gear located between both drive transmission gears and selectively engaged with both drive transmission gears for transmitting driving force from the driving source is attached to the rocking lever and a locking means mocks the rocking lever in a state that the locking means is engaged with either of the both drive transmission gears. The first drive transmission system and the second drive transmission system are connected to a drive unit normally and reversely rotated. At least one flat side is formed in the above locking means and a flat side which can come in contact with the flat side of the locking means is formed in a fitting part. A secure lock can be realized by touching these both sides in locking.
