A spread spectrum radar performs a target detection process in a first mode. The target detection process includes performing a slide unit detection a plurality of times while sliding transmission code by predetermined number of chips. The slide unit detection includes transmitting the transmission code and performing a sliding-correlation calculation between the transmission code and a reception code. A method for evaluating the spread spectrum radar includes when the spread spectrum radar is changed to a second mode, which is different from the first mode, stopping the slide unit detection to be performed subsequently to the slide unit detection being performed at a time of changing to the second mode; and transferring a data group that indicates sliding correlation values obtained in the slide unit detection being performed at the time of changing to the second mode.

Method for evaluating spread spectrum radar and spread spectrum radar

An attachment method attaches a bracket to a vehicle, and attaches a radar to the bracket so that an axis of a directivity pattern of an antenna directs upward with respect to a horizontal direction. The antenna of the radar has an asymmetric vertical directivity pattern with respect to the axis of the directivity pattern.

Method for attaching radar for vehicle, radar for vehicle, and monitoring method

A radar includes a transmission signal processing system, a reception signal processing system, an auxiliary signal processing system, a transmission-signal input unit, and a search determination unit. The transmission signal processing system transmits a transmission signal. The reception signal processing system receives and processes a reflected wave at a target. The auxiliary signal processing system is separate from the reception signal processing system and has the same configuration as at least a part of the reception signal processing system having a low operation speed. The transmission-signal input unit inputs a signal generated in the transmission signal processing system to the auxiliary signal processing system directly. The search determination unit makes a determination on the search for the target on the basis of processing results of the received reflected wave by the reception signal processing system and the directly input signal by the auxiliary signal processing system.

Radar

A transmission wave is transmitted to a target from a transmission section. A receiving section receives a wave reflected from the target as a received wave. A conversion section converts a time difference between the transmission time at which a transmission wave is transmitted and the receiving time at which a received wave is received in to a voltage. The thus-obtained voltage is subjected to analog-to-digital conversion by means of a processing circuit, whereby a distance is computed.

A target determination apparatus includes a reception unit, a judgment unit, and a determination unit. The reception unit receives a reflection wave from a target. The judgment unit judges as to whether or not a fluctuation state of reception intensity of the reflection wave with time corresponds to a distinction state occurring when the target is a predetermined type, on the basis of information concerning the reception intensity of the reflection wave. The determination unit determines type of the target on the basis of judgment result of the judgment unit.
