A system measures data output by a sensor collecting data from an exercise machine. Based on the signals received from the sensor, the system extracts information about the angular positions and angular velocities of moving components of the exercise machine, and the system estimates resistance settings and power outputs of the exercise machine. The results of these measurements and estimates are used to provide feedback to a user of the exercise machine, to record and share the workout data from using the exercise machine, and/or to control the behavior of a virtual object in a virtual environment.

System and method for interfacing to an exercise machine

Systems and methods for defining a custom fix via a graphical user interface (GUI) for operation of an aircraft. The method includes uniquely sized and arranged custom fix dialog GUI windows that are displayed on an active avionic display, the custom fix dialog windows having preprogrammed arrangements of GUI objects. The GUI objects allow a user to select between custom airports or custom runways, and to select between create, edit, and store custom fix functions. The method decodes and sequences user input, as related to the displayed GUI objects. Embodiments keep track of required data fields for respective custom fixes, and store custom fix data in a custom database that is compatible with the navigation database and avionic display systems.

An improved emergency aircraft oxygen respirator for passenger use in an aircraft providing a mask attached to a passenger by a head strap, the mask having a facial conforming inner liner forming an airtight seal to each various passenger, the mask further defining an oxygen line connection, a valve operated expired breathing opening, and at least one inlet filter to remove toxic fumes, chemical vapors and smoke during a fire or electrical malfunction in the airplane, the oxygen line connection engaging the plane's existing chemical oxygen generation system, replacing the oxygen mask for passengers in a plane, the replacement respirator deploying within the passenger compartment of the airplane in the same manner as the oxygen masks being replaced.
