A cooking system is provided. The cooking system includes a housing, a heating elements, a cooking accessory, a temperature sensor, and a controller. The housing has an internal heating compartment, where the heating element is positioned therein. The cooking accessory has a cooking surface and is configured to be receivable within the internal heating compartment. The temperature sensor is positioned within the internal heating compartment and configured to measure a temperature of the cooking accessory. The controller is configured to operate an output of the heating element. The output of the heating element is related to the measured temperature of the cooking accessory and independent of an air temperature of the internal heating compartment.

Temperature controlled accessory for countertop cooking system

A cooking system positionable on a support surface includes a housing having an internal cooking compartment and an opening formed in the housing for accessing said internal cooking compartment. At least one heating element is provided for heating said internal cooking compartment. The heating element is operable to heat the internal cooking compartment while the opening is at least partially exposed to an ambient environment to allow fluid transfer between the ambient environment and the internal cooking compartment. An output from said at least one heating element is variable across said internal cooking compartment during operation of the system.

In one embodiment, the cooking system includes a housing having a first internal heating compartment having a first opening, and a second internal heating compartment having a second opening. A first heating element is configured to heat the first internal heating compartment, and a second heating element is configured to heat the second internal heating compartment. The system further includes a door assembly having a first door configured to cover the first opening, a second door configured to cover the second opening, a first frame member, and a second frame member. The second door is pivotally arranged relative to the first door and is configured to selectively allow access to the second internal heating compartment while the first door covers the first opening, and the second door selectively locks to the first frame member and the second frame member.

A cooking system positionable on a support surface includes a housing having a hollow chamber including an internal cooking chamber for receiving a food item, at least one radiative heating element arranged within the hollow interior and operable to heat said cooking chamber and a convection heater disposed within the hollow chamber and operable to heat the cooking chamber. The cooking system is operable in a convection cooking mode and during the convection cooking mode, the at least one radiative heating element is selectively energized.

The housing is positionable about the support surface in both a first orientation and a second, distinct orientation. At least one heating element is associated with said internal cooking compartment. The at least one heating element is operable to heat said internal cooking compartment in both said first orientation and said second orientation.
