A system for collecting and retaining a sample from exhaled breath of a subject for analysis can include a two part housing, a two part trap section, and optionally a boat fitment. Disclosed is a portable fluid sampling device comprising: a housing including a first portion removably attachable to a second portion, the first and second portions being configured to combine to form a chamber therein, the chamber being configured to at least temporarily contain or hold a biological sample therein, at least one of the first portion and the second portion including an inlet, the other of the first portion and the second portion including an outlet, wherein the device further comprises at least one of the following: a) one of the first portion and the second portion including an end having a projection, the other of the first portion and the second portion including an end having a groove, the groove being configured to receive at least a portion of the projection therein; or b) tamper evident means for indicating that the first portion of the housing has previously been separated from the second portion of the housing.

Portable fluid sampling device, system for using same, and method of making and using same

An adapter is configured to hold a flip-top vial. The vial includes a body and a lid. The body of the vial has a base and a sidewall extending therefrom. The body defines an interior including a product space configured for housing at least one product and having an opening leading to the interior. The lid is configured to be attached to the sidewall by a hinge. The adapter includes a receiving portion having an opening configured to receive the body, and a base portion extending from the receiving portion. The base portion has a shelf portion proximate the opening. The shelf portion is configured to engage the lid of the vial when the lid is in a predetermined opened position in order to maintain the lid in the predetermined opened position with respect to the body.

Adaptor bottling line arrangement including the same, and method of filling and sealing in a bottle line arrangement

A container () includes a base () having a floor portion () and an outer wall () extending upwardly therefrom. A lid () includes a ceiling portion () and an outer wall () extending downwardly therefrom, the lid being movable with respect to the base between a closed position and an open position. In the closed position the combined lid and base define a cavity configured to enclose product. One of the base and the lid includes a first maintaining tab () extending upwardly from the floor portion or downwardly from the ceiling portion. The first maintaining tab being positioned inwardly of the outer wall of the one of the base and the lid. The other one of the base and the lid including a first opening () extending there through. At least a portion of the first maintaining tab extending through the first opening to maintaining the lid in the closed position.

Container having child-resistant senior-friendly features and method of using and making same

Methods for storing and preserving cannabis or cannabis-containing substances using container assemblies are disclosed. An exemplary container assembly includes a lid and a container body. The lid is configured to be closed onto the container body over an opening of the container body. The opening provides access to an interior space having a product compartment configured to store product. The assembly also includes a humectant compartment permanently secured within the assembly. The humectant compartment includes a rigid housing containing a humectant solution. The rigid housing is configured within the assembly to prevent leaking of the humectant solution into the product compartment while facilitating bidirectional transmission of moisture between the humectant compartment and the product compartment. The humectant solution regulates relative humidity of the product compartment to maintain the relative humidity at a predetermined level.

Methods for storing and preserving cannabis or cannabis-containing substances

A closed and tamper-evident sealed container, including a fluid transport adapter. The adapter provides for sterile fluid communication between a fluid source outside the container and the container interior when adapter is open. The adapter is adjustable to a closed position wherein the fluid communication ceases. An alternative to the adapter utilizes a sampling attachment that fits into tight engagement with the lid which comprises at least one septum. Coupling the sampling attachment to the lid either causes sharps in the attachment to penetrate the at least one septum or to displace the edges of the septum inward to form a fluid communication with the container interior while the lid remains sealed closed. Other variations include a rotatable sampling attachment, a container with a displaceable bottom wall to act as a syringe and a large volume (e.g., 1500 mL) sealed ampoule which also uses a sampling attachment.

Aseptic tamper evident sampling container

A child resistant container is for containing at least one product, such as medicine. The child resistant container includes a body, a lid, and a directing portion. The body has an end portion defining an opening leading to an interior of the body. The lid is connected to the body via a hinge, and includes a cover portion and a protrusion extending outwardly therefrom. The cover portion is configured to move between a FIRST position corresponding to the cover portion covering the opening, and a SECOND position corresponding to the cover portion not covering the opening. The directing portion extends from one of the body and the cover portion, and at least partially encloses the protrusion when the cover portion is in the FIRST position. When the cover portion moves from the FIRST position to the SECOND position, the protrusion moves away from the directing portion.

Child resistant container and method of opening same

A container () includes a container body () having a base (), a sidewall (), and a body extension portion (), the body extension portion terminates at a body extension outer surface; a lid () connected to the container body and that is pivotable to move the container between a closed position and an open position, the lid comprising a cover portion () and a lid extension portion () extending therefrom and terminating at a lid extension outer surface, the lid extension portion having an underside. The body extension outer surface and the lid extension outer surface are generally co-planar when the container is in the closed position. The body extension portion hits n window () configured to provide access to the underside when the container is in the closed position to enable a user to apply upward pressure on the underside to move the container from the closed position to the open position.
