A peelable lid system includes a peelable lid, a seal configured to seal the peelable lid to a container, a handle coupled to the peelable lid, and a lifting mechanism coupled to handle. The lifting mechanism can be coupled to the peelable lid at a plurality of attachment points, including at least one attachment point coupled to the peelable lid away from the handle. The lifting mechanism can be configured to lift at least one portion of the peelable lid near each of the plurality of attachment points.

An applicator for providing HIFU therapy to a patient includes a HIFU transducer that is rotatably coupled to a frame. In one embodiment, the rotatable coupling is configured such that the HIFU transducer can be mechanically oriented to position a focal zone of the HIFU transducer at any desired location in a treatment volume radially outward from a longitudinal axis of the applicator while the HIFU transducer remains within a housing that is not more than a defined percentage (e.g., 50%) larger than the maximum diameter of the HIFU transducer. In one embodiment, the HIFU transducer is rotatably coupled to the frame with a ball and socket joint. In another embodiment, the HIFU transducer is rotatably coupled to the frame with an offset gimble assembly. A pair of linear actuators and drive shafts engage the HIFU transducer to orient HIFU transducer in a desired direction.

An external defibrillator can include a tray and a plurality of electrode pads located within the tray. At least one of the plurality of electrode pads can include an electrode contact structure that can be applied to a patient, a wire electrically coupling the electrode contact structure to the external defibrillator, and a release liner adhered to the electrode contact structure of the electrode pad. A portion of the release liner can be affixed to a portion of the tray such that, when an end of the electrode pad is pulled, the electrode pad is removed from the release liner, the electrode pad is removed from the tray, and the release liner remains affixed to the tray.
