A brachytherapy appliance and method utilizing a body portion or element removably positionable within a cavity of a living body, such as an oral cavity, the body portion having a shape at least generally conforming to a surface within the cavity in proximity to a cancer or diseased tissue so as to be retainable in intimate relation with the surface, and at least one conduit in connection with the body portion and extending to a predetermined location adjacent to the cancer when the body portion is retained in the cavity, the at least one conduit being adapted for cooperatively receiving a radiation emitting element or media for positioning the radiation emitting element or media at the predetermined location adjacent to the cancer for irradiating the cancer, and at least one radiation shield in association with the body portion adapted for shielding adjacent tissue and/or organs from radiation emitted by the radiation emitting element or media.

Brachytherapy appliance and method

Thin screen enclosure

A bed frame assembly for supporting a bed in a substantially flat manner above a floor including interlocking elongate rails and feet for forming a rectangular, flat platform, each of the feet including an upper portion defining a receptacle oriented in a first direction for receiving a longitudinal end a portion of a first of the rails, and a second receptacle oriented in a second direction at about a 90 degree angle to the first direction for receiving a portion of a second of the rails, such that when received in the receptacles, respectively, the first and second rails being in abutting interlocking relation and extend in the first and second directions defining the platform, and elements cooperatively engageable with each of the feet, respectively, for holding the rails in the abutting relation.

Bed frame

A frame apparatus made of two side frames and four interlocking cross arm supports, held together with a locking member with leg support feature. This configuration provides a frame apparatus that is less complex to assemble, and when the components are in place and locked together, the shape of the frame apparatus will not become distorted. In a preferred embodiment the frame apparatus is used as a bed frame.

A bed, more particularly a coffin bed, comprising a rectangular frame formed by a single member formed of sheet metal strip having a tubular section functioning as a beam and a flange extending from the tubular section, and a body support which may be constituted by a piece of plastic netting, attached to the flange, the frame per se, and a method of manufacture thereof involving cold rolling of the strip.
