A system includes one or more components within an internal cabin of a vehicle. An imaging device is configured to obtain an image of the one or more components. A state determination control unit includes a processor. The state determination control unit is in communication with the imaging device. The state determination control unit receives image data including the image from the imaging device. Further, the state determination control unit determines a state of the one or more components based on the image data.

A method, apparatus, and system for facilitating communications between a client computer system and a vehicle computer system in a vehicle. An operational digital twin establishes communications with the client computer system using a client interface and the vehicle computer system using a vehicle interface. The operational digital twin includes a model of the vehicle computer system. Remote information received from the vehicle computer system is stored. The stored information is sent responsive to a request received from the client computer system. The remote information responsive to request but absent from the stored information is retrieved from the vehicle computer system. The retrieved information is sent to the client computer system, wherein the operational digital twin operates to provide network connectivity between the vehicle computer system in the vehicle and the client computer system with an increased a quality of service to the client computer system.

A local positioning system may include a reader assembly and a data processing assembly. The reader assembly may be configured to read tag data from at least one wireless communication tag of a plurality of wireless communication tags disposed in spaced-apart fixed positions relative to a structure extending along an expanse when the reader assembly is disposed in the expanse proximate to the at least one wireless communication tag. The reader assembly may also generate a communication-tag signal representative of the read tag data. A data processing assembly may be configured to access a mapping of the plurality of wireless communication tags relative to the structure. The data processing assembly may be further configured to determine a location of the reader assembly based on the read tag data and the mapping of the plurality of wireless communication tags relative to the structure.

Local positioning with communication tags

An integrated wireless network and associated method are provided for facilitating wireless communication onboard an aircraft. The integrated wireless network includes a wireless distribution system including a wired interface and a plurality of wireless radios. The wireless distribution system may also include a combiner and one or more antennas, such as leaky feeder antenna(s), extending through the cabin compartment of the aircraft. The combiner may provide the combined wireless signals to the antenna for transmission. And, the combiner may deconstruct wireless signals received by the antenna and provide the deconstructed wireless signals to a respective wireless radio. The integrated wireless network of this embodiment also includes one or more wireless data concentrators having a plurality of wireless radios in communication with the antenna. The plurality of wireless radios of the wireless distribution system and the wireless data concentrator may support wireless communications in accordance with a plurality of different protocols.
