The present invention relates to a process for cleaning a solid support of a fermentation reactor for the production of alcohols by fermentation using a sugary fluid, the solid support comprising a polyurethane foam inoculated with a biomass produced by a solvent-producing strain belonging to the genus, the process comprising placing the solid support in contact with a fluid originating from the fermentation must enriched in alcohol and/or acetone and/or an aqueous solution at basic pH.

Method for cleaning a solid support of a fermentation reactor comprising a contaminated polyurethane foam

The present invention concerns a process for recovering fermentation products present in a fermentation mash produced in a bioreactor (), comprising a step a) in which a gas stream () is sent into the fermentation mash under pressure in order to entrain at least a portion of the products and produce a gas stream () which is enriched in fermentation products. The process comprises a step h) for storage of the fermentation gases and the gas stream which is sent to the step a) is constituted by the stored fermentation gases.

Process for recovering alcohols in a fermenter

The process for the production of alcohol and/or solvent from a biomass feedstock comprises the stages for pretreatment (P) of the biomass feedstock, for enzymatic hydrolysis (Hand HF), and for fermenting the hydrolyzate (HF). To prevent solids from being sent and to facilitate operating the section for purifying the fermentation products, at least a portion of the solid material in the fermentation wine is extracted (Ex) to obtain a stream of solid residue () comprising lignin and a fermentation wine () that is low in solid material. Then, the stream of solid residue is washed (L) with a liquid stream to recover a liquid stream that is enriched with fermentation products (). The liquid stream that is enriched with fermentation products () is recycled in the enzymatic hydrolysis stage (H) to recover any fermentation product and to increase the overall yield of the process.

Method for producing alcohols and/or solvents from lignocellulosic biomass with washing of the solid residue obtained after fermentation

The invention relates to a continuous process for pretreatment of an oil feedstock comprising at most 20% by weight of free fatty acids by esterification of free fatty acids in which a vertical liquid/liquid contactor containing an esterification catalyst in solid form is supplied in counter-current by an alcohol feedstock comprising at least 20% by weight of an alcohol and said oil feedstock, with said contactor being operated at a temperature of between 25 and 120&#xb0; C., with said contactor performing the contact in liquid-liquid counter-current between a heavy phase and a light phase, with said heavy phase being able to be either an oil-rich phase or an alcohol-rich phase.

Process for pretreatment of vegetable oils by heterogeneous catalysis of the esterification of fatty acids

The process for the production of alcohol and/or solvent from a biomass feedstock comprises the stages for pretreatment (P) of the biomass feedstock, for enzymatic hydrolysis (H) of the pretreated substrate, and for fermenting the hydrolyzate (F). To reduce the size of the fermenters, at least a portion of the solid residue contained in the hydrolyzate is extracted (Ex) in such a way as to obtain a stream of solid residue () comprising lignin and a hydrolyzate () that is low in solid residue. Then, the stream of solid residue is washed (L) with a liquid stream in such a way as to recover a sugar-enriched liquid stream (). The present invention describes a method of producing fatty acid alkyl esters and glycerin implementing a set of transesterification reactions between a vegetable or animal oil and an aliphatic monoalcohol in the presence of a heterogeneous solid catalyst so as to obtain an effluent comprising at least alkyl esters, free glycerol, bonded glycerol and alcohol, wherein at least one stage of separation of at least a portion of the effluent is carried out in order to separate the ester produced and the bonded glycerol, said separation occurring through a membrane.

The raw natural gas is deacidized and dehydrated in units DA and DH. The treated gas is then purified by adsorption of the mercaptans in first enclosure A. Part of the purified gas is heated in E, then fed into second enclosure Aso as to discharge the water adsorbed by the adsorbent material contained in this second enclosure. A steam-rich stream is fed into third enclosure Acontaining a mercaptan-laden adsorbent material. In A, the mercaptans are desorbed and replaced by the steam.

Method of purifying a natural gas by mercaptan adsorption

The raw natural gas is deacidized and dehydrated in units DA and DH. The treated gas is then purified by adsorption of the mercaptans in first enclosure A. Part of the purified gas is heated in E, then fed into second enclosure Aso as to discharge the water adsorbed by the adsorbent material contained in this second enclosure. A water-laden purge gas is fed into third enclosure Acontaining a mercaptan-laden adsorbent material. In A, the mercaptans are desorbed and replaced by the water. The gas from the third enclosure is washed in unit L, then recycled.
