A method for wirelessly connecting a first device with an external second device includes wirelessly communicating between the first device and the external second device. Based on the wireless communication, the first device causes displaying of a dynamic graphic pattern on a display of the external second device. The dynamic graphic pattern having a shape that changes over time. A camera of the first device receives the dynamic graphic pattern. The first device recognizes the dynamic graphic pattern associated with the external second device. Data is wirelessly transferred between the first device and the external second device based on the recognized dynamic graphic pattern.

Device pairing

A method for pairing a first device with a second device includes receiving, by the first device, a dynamic graphic pattern having a shape that changes over time. The dynamic graphic pattern being associated with the second device for pairing with the second device. The first device recognizes the dynamic graphic pattern associated with the second device. The second device is paired if the dynamic graphic pattern associated with the second device is recognized.

A method and system for multi-user, multi-device content access metering and control is provided. In one embodiment, a system implements a method such that in response to user login requests, the system controls login access by providing multiple users login access to plural electronic devices capable of communicating via a communication system. A system and method for peer-to-peer datacasting in a broadcasting network is disclosed. The method may include providing first and second peers and a source, wherein the first and second peers are configured to communicate data with the source via the broadcasting network, wherein each of the first and second peers stores an updatable software object, wherein the source stores the most recent version of the software object, and wherein the second peer is configured to communicate data with the source via the first peer. The method may also include receiving, at the first peer, an update request for a software object from the second peer and obtaining, at the first peer, the most recent version of the software object associated with the update request. The method may further include transmitting, at the first peer, the requested most recent version of the software object to the second peer and updating the software object of the second peer with the received software object.
