An apparatus comprises a plurality of host devices each implementing one or more virtual resources that are migratable between the host devices, one or more networks comprising a plurality of network switches each coupled to one or more of the host devices, and a migration controller associated with one or more of the host devices. The migration controller is configured to monitor utilization of the network switches by their associated host devices and to direct migration of the virtual resources between the host devices based at least in part on the monitored utilization of the network switches. Responsive to detection of a first network switch having a utilization above a threshold, the migration controller identifies a second network switch having a utilization below the threshold and directs migration of at least one virtual resource from a first host devices associated with the first network switch to a second host device associated with the second network switch.

Network switch aware migration of virtual resources

An apparatus comprises a processing platform configured to implement an expert recommender engine. The expert recommender engine receives information relating to a communication from a user device, and identifies at least one subject matter expert for the communication based on the received information and unstructured text data of a service events database. The expert recommender engine is associated with a clustering module that separates the unstructured text data into topic clusters. The expert recommender engine comprises a collaborative filtering module that receives the topic clusters from the clustering module and utilizes the topic clusters to identify the subject matter expert. The user device is connected with an expert device corresponding to the identified subject matter expert. The expert recommender engine may utilize structured data, social media data and customer satisfaction survey data in combination with the received information and the topic clusters to identify the subject matter expert.

Expert recommendation leveraging topic clusters derived from unstructured text data

An apparatus comprises a processing platform configured to communicate with a plurality of IoT devices over at least one network. The processing platform implements a security-as-a-service portal accessible to the IoT devices, the portal comprising an analytics engine configured to assign trust scores to respective ones of the IoT devices. The security-as-a-service portal provides authentication leveling functionality for the IoT devices based at least in part on the assigned trust scores. In accordance with the authentication leveling functionality, a first one of the IoT devices accesses the security-as-a-service portal to identify a level of authentication to be applied by the first IoT device in authenticating a second one of the IoT devices. The security-as-a-service portal may determine the authentication level to be applied by the first IoT device in authenticating the second IoT device based at least in part on the trust score assigned to the second IoT device.
