Disclosed is a device for reducing flow noise. In order to achieve a low flow noise, the device includes inlet apertures for receiving a fluid flow, chambers into which one or more inlet apertures open up, a cross-sectional area of a single chamber being larger than a combined flow cross-sectional area of the inlet apertures opening up thereto, and chamber-specific outlet apertures for forwarding the fluid flow from the chamber, a flow cross-sectional area of each outlet aperture being smaller than the cross-sectional area of the chamber, and the combined flow cross-sectional area of all outlet apertures of the single chamber being larger than the combined flow cross-sectional area of the inlet apertures opening up into said chamber.

Device for reducing flow noise and valve

The invention relates to an attachment ring for attaching an object in a flow channel. The attachment ring has a first surface for contacting the object and a second surface for contacting a surface of a shoulder. An expansion member expands the attachment ring by pushing the ends away from each other when the expansion member is moved into the opening. At least one of the second surface of the attachment ring and the surface of the shoulder is inclined in order to wedge the attachment ring between the surface of the shoulder and the object when the attachment ring is expanded by the expansion member.

Attachment ring and valve

The invention relates to a valve comprising a housing and a closing member arranged in the housing, from which member a shaft protrudes via which the closing member is rotatable in the housing. In order to provide a working and easy-to-use valve, the closing member comprises a sector closing the opening, a flexible sector having a thinner wall than the closing sector, a guiding sector having the same radius (R) as the inner surface of the housing wall, and an open sector.

A method and system for controlling a flow control valve, comprising measuring a flow at a suitable point of a flow process and calculating a pressure drop across the valve from a Ccurve of the valve, a measured valve opening &#x3b1;, and the measured flow (Q). From this calculated pressure drop, a flow set point (Q), and an inverse Ccurve of the valve, a new valve opening (&#x3b1;) providing the desired flow is calculated. The control is thus adapted to each operating point and its prevailing flow gain and linearizes the dependence between flow control and flow.

Control method and control system for a flow control valve

This invention relates to a control valve which comprises a first and a second flow channel (), a valve chamber () and a closing member (), from which a shaft () extends. A flow connection is established in the control valve through the inner part of the chamber (). The flow connection into the chamber () and the one out of the chamber () are constricted at all openings (A, A, A) when the closing member () is turned about the rotation axis () in the chamber ().

High pressure control valve that allows for multiple pressure drops

The present invention relates to a diaphragm actuator for control valves, wherein the gear rack is arranged so that the points of contact of the gear rack/gear wheel system are situated on the straight line connecting the centers of the movable walls of the pressure spaces effecting the movement. Thereby, no torsion forces act on the diaphragm backing plates or on the diaphragms, but the forces effecting the movement of the reciprocating elements are substantially parallel with the path of motion and symmetrical. Additionally, the clearance between the gear rack and the gear wheel is substantially eliminated by means of a support roll with bearings. According to the invention, a lightly movable actuator is provided, in which the delays caused by clearances or wall friction of the cylinder-piston arrangement are substantially eliminated. The actuator can be implemented either as double-acting or single-acting.
