A bicycle computer for monitoring performance of a user of a bicycle includes a processing circuitry; a user interface; an attaching unit for arranging the bicycle computer in an attached position; and at least one integrated proximity sensor arranged and dimensioned to measure, in the attached position, proximity data being indicative of a distance to a body part. The processing circuitry is configured to obtain the proximity data from the at least one integrated proximity sensor and to process the proximity data into one or more cycling metric. The user interface is configured to output the one or more cycling metric.

Bicycle computer

A system for monitoring performance of a user includes at least one processor, and at least one memory including a computer program code. The at least one memory and the computer program code are configured, with the at least one processor, to cause the system to perform operations including obtaining force data measured by at least one force sensor coupled with one or more poles and velocity data measured by at least one sensor for measuring velocity of the user, determining poling power based on the force data and the velocity data, and outputting a poling power indicator based on the determined poling power.

Performance monitoring system

A method, apparatus, and computer program for transferring data are presented. In the method, pedalling data is received in a processor, wherein the pedalling data characterize pedalling quantity measured from the force transmission system of a bicycle. A transmission data frame comprising a first sub-frame including at least a portion of the pedalling data is formed, and the transmission data frame is outputted for wireless transmission.

Pedalling data transfer

There is provided an electronic device, comprising: a receiving unit configured to receive location data generated by a navigation unit of a positioning system, and to receive performance data from a measuring unit, wherein performance parameters of the performance data are associated to corresponding route points included in the received location data; and a graphic generator configured to generate graphical data associated to the received location data. The graphic generator is further configured to generate graphical data associated to the performance parameters; and to adjust the spatial dimension of the generated graphical data associated to the performance parameters in proportion to the corresponding route points of the received location data on the basis of the values of the performance parameters.

Method of generating graphical data and electronic device

Apparatus and method for pedalling measurement are presented. The apparatus comprises: a portion to form a hole for accommodating a spindle of a pedal; a strain member to undergo deformation by a force applied on the pedal and transmitted by means of the spindle through the portion to the strain member; and a strain gauge, coupled with the strain member, to measure an elastic strain representing the deformation.
