A diaphragm spring for a friction clutch includes a ring-like body area and a plurality of spring tongues arranged at the inner edge in a row in a circumferential direction and extending radially inward from the body area. Openings are formed between adjacent spring tongues, each opening having a radially outer base area, at least one of the openings being limited in the circumferential direction by a wall area having a curvature which increases as the wall proceeds from the base area.

Diaphragm spring for a friction clutch

A diaphragm spring for a friction clutch includes a ring-like body area and a plurality of spring tongues arranged in a row in the circumferential direction and extending radially inward from the body area. A stiffening rib formed in at least one of the spring tongues extends radially into the body area.

A pressure plate assembly includes a housing designed to be attached to a flywheel; a pressure plate mounted in the housing with freedom to move in a direction parallel to an axis of rotation; a stored-energy device; and a wear take-up device acting in the path of force transmission between the stored-energy device and the pressure plate, where the wear take-up device has at least one take-up element which can be moved in a take-up direction to compensate for wear. Pressure plate assembly for a friction clutch

Each clutch disk has a hub area designed to be connected nonrotatably to a power takeoff element and a friction surface area designed to be clamped between opposing friction surfaces. Each clutch disk has a torsional vibration damper arrangement including two cover disk elements connected to the hub area for rotation in common, and a central disk element connected to the friction surface area for rotation in common. The central disk element is or can be brought into torque-transmitting connection with the cover disk elements via a damper element arrangement. The central disk element has a damper element interaction area and, radially outside the damper element interaction area, a friction surface carrier area, which is offset with respect to the damper element interaction area in the direction of an axis of rotation.

A pressure plate assembly for a friction clutch, which assembly includes a housing; a pressure plate connected to the housing for rotation in common around an axis of rotation and which is free to move axially with respect to the housing; a stored-energy device, which pretensions the pressure plate in the axial direction with respect to the housing; a wear-compensating device which acts in the path of support between the stored-energy device and at least one of the housing and the pressure plate and comprises at least one wear-compensating element which is free to move when wear occurs and/or when wear is compensated; an indicator arrangement, comprising at least one indicator opening in the housing and at least one indicator element on a wear-compensating element. The indicator element at least partially fills at least one indicator opening in at least one state of wear; information concerning the amount of wear which has occurred can be derived from the position of the indicator element relative to the minimum of one indicator opening.

A housing arrangement for a friction clutch, especially for a multi-disk clutch, where the housing arrangement is designed approximately in the shape of a cup and is provided with a bottom area and an edge area for connection to a flywheel. At least one air through-opening is provided in the bottom area, each opening being bounded by a front edge and a rear edge with respect to the direction of rotation, the front edge being axially offset toward the interior of the housing with respect to said rear edge.

Housing arrangement for a friction clutch

A transport-securing arrangement for a pressure plate assembly of a multi-disk clutch including a housing arrangement connectable to a flywheel, a pressure plate coupled to the housing arrangement for common rotation therewith, a stored-energy device having one side supported on the housing arrangement and another side supported on the pressure plate arrangement. The pressure plate assembly also includes an intermediate plate connected to the housing arrangement for common rotation therewith and a first clutch disk with a friction surface area positioned between the pressure plate and the intermediate plate. The transport-securing arrangement comprises a plurality of connecting elements, preferably bolt elements, for tightly connecting the intermediate plate to the housing arrangement.

Transport-securing arrangement for a pressure plate assembly of a multi-disk clutch

A pressure plate assembly for a multi-disk clutch includes a housing arrangement, a pressure plate mounted in the housing arrangement with freedom to move in the same direction as an axis of rotation but connected to the housing with essentially no freedom of rotation and an intermediate plate mounted in the housing arrangement with freedom to move in the same direction as the axis of rotation but connected to the housing with essentially no freedom of rotation. A release distance preset arrangement for the intermediate plate includes at least one sensing element on the intermediate plate which rests on an assembly which shifts position during the performance of a releasing movement of the pressure plate. The at least one sensing element allows the intermediate plate to execute a releasing movement corresponding to the shift of this assembly. The at least one sensing element contacting the assembly is pretensioned by an intermediate plate release force-generating arrangement acting on the intermediate plate. At least one rotational coupling projection is arranged on either the intermediate plate or the housing arrangement which fits in a rotational coupling recess the other of the intermediate plate or the housing arrangement to produce a rotational coupling between the intermediate plate and the housing arrangement.

A pressure plate assembly for a friction clutch includes a housing for mounting to a centrifugal mass; a pressure plate, which is mounted in the housing with freedom to move in the same direction as that in which a rotational axis (A) extends; a stored-energy element; and a wear-compensating device, acting in the path of force transmission between the stored-energy element and the pressure plate, where the wear-compensating device has at least one adjusting element able to move in an adjusting direction to compensate for wear. A clearance-producing arrangement includes a gripping element provided on the pressure plate, which, when wear occurs, comes to rest or can be brought to rest against a blocking element, which is fixed or can be fixed in place relative to the housing arrangement. During or after the connection of the housing arrangement to the centrifugal mass arrangement, the blocking element arrives in or can be brought into a state in which it can enter into a blocking interaction with the associated gripping element.

Pressure plate assembly

A pressure plate assembly for a friction clutch includes a housing for mounting to a flywheel; a pressure plate, held in the housing with the freedom to move in the same direction as that of a rotational axis (A); a stored-energy element; and a wear-compensating device acting in the path of force transmission between the stored-energy element and the pressure plate, where the wear-compensating device has at least one adjusting element, which can move in an adjusting direction to compensate for wear. A clearance-producing arrangement includes a gripping element provided on the pressure plate, which element comes or can be brought to rest against a blocking element (fixed in position relative to the housing arrangement upon the occurrence of wear. When the housing arrangement is being attached to the flywheel arrangement, the blocking element arrives in state in which it is able to enter into a blocking interaction with the associated gripping element.

A device for a clutch which is subject to wear brought about by friction, especially for motor vehicles, for signaling that a wear limit has been reached. The clutch has a pressure plate which is connected, via tangential leaf springs, with a clutch housing so as to be fixed with respect to rotation relative to it, but so as to be axially displaceable, and by way of which a clutch disk provided with friction linings can be pressed against a flywheel of an internal combustion engine. The device has two structural component parts which can be clamped against one another, one of which structural component parts is arranged so as to be movable in the radial direction. A clamping of the structural component parts can be canceled when the wear limit is reached, wherein a movable structural component part springs into another radial position and remains there.

Wear indicator for friction clutches

An assembly for a motor-vehicle friction clutch, in which a pressure plate and a pressure spring are preassembled in a clutch casing. The pressure plate can move in the axial direction with respect to the clutch casing and is connected to the clutch casing in a rotationally fixed manner by means of leaf springs. A releasable transport securing device prevents the pressure plate from moving in the axial direction toward the open side of the clutch casing. The securing device acts between a stop area, which limits the axial displacement of the pressure plate or is formed by said pressure plate, and a corresponding opposing stop area on the clutch casing. The transport securing device is a locking element which is held between the stop area and the opposing stop area by frictional force or a form fit, and can be disengaged by spring force when the clutch is fitted or when the clutch is first actuated.

Assembly for a friction clutch

The invention relates to a twin-disc clutch with the intermediate plate controlled via a lever mechanism. For easier adjustment of the displacement force of the adjusting device which is provided, this latter is mounted in the center between the axes of rotation of the levers on the intermediate plate. In the case of one embodiment, the levers are guided on the tangential leaf springs; in another embodiment, they are provided at one end with a bearing point while at the other end they are free.

Twin-disc clutch

For the snap connection of a clutch releaser with spring tongue ends of a diaphragm spring in a pulled-type diaphragm spring clutch, there is secured to the spring tongue ends a first ring part which comprises a radially inwardly protruding first stop ring shoulder directed axially away from the releaser. With the releaser there is connected a second ring part which comprises a radially outwardly protruding second stop ring shoulder directed axially to the releaser and is insertable, with the second stop ring shoulder leading, through beneath the first stop ring shoulder axially into the first ring part. On the side of the first ring shoulder axially remote from the releaser a radially elastic wire ring is arranged which snaps over the second ring shoulder in the insertion of the second ring part. A support ring is axially fixedly inserted into the first ring part and axially supports the wire ring on a ring shoulder in the insertion of the second ring part. The support ring is held by retaining tabs on the first ring part, each of which comprises at least one spring tongue which rests from radially outwards on the wire ring and centers the wire ring for the insertion of the second ring part.
