Methods are provided for automatic pairing of a first electronic device and a second electronic device in a radio communications system. Such methods can include bringing the first and second electronic devices in proximity to each other and transmitting an inquiry signal from the second electronic device. Such methods can also include transmitting an inquiry response signal from the first electronic device to the second electronic device, upon detecting the inquiry signal and establishing, in the second electronic device, a High Level Authentication connection with the first electronic device, based on the first electronic device being the first device to respond to the inquiry signal. Such methods can further include transmitting a private key from the second electronic device to the first electronic device, creating a common unique passkey, and initiating a pairing, by the first electronic device, using the unique passkey.

Method and device for bluetooth pairing

A headset is proposed for use with a communication and/or multimedia device, said headset comprising an interface for receiving input data, a processing unit for processing said input data to generate audio output signals, a speaker for outputting said audio output signals in a mono mode and connecting means for connecting the headset to a power supply in order to charge a battery or an accumulator being provided within said headset. Said connecting means are also connectable to an additional speaker device forming alone or together with said speaker of said headset a stereo headphone wherein said processing unit processes the input data to generate stereo output signals when said speaker device is connected to said headset.

Headset for use with a communication and/or multimedia device

The invention relates to an earphone () with leakage control, which can be switched between states with and without leakage to adapt the earphone to different listening situations. The leakage of the earphone may be enabled and disabled automatically in dependence of the sound source and/or may be controlled manually by the user. The earphone is connectable to a device and comprises: a housing () substantially covering the external auditory meatus, and accommodating a loudspeaker element (); the housing further comprising a channel () extending between an inner end () facing the external auditory meatus, and an outer end () facing the environment; and closure means () being switchable between a closed state in which said channel is substantially closed, and an open state in which said channel is admitting sound from the environment. The invention also relates to a device co-operating therewith, such as a mobile telephone.

Earphone with controllable leakage of surrounding sound and device therefor

The present invention relates to a device and a method for presentation of information on a display. The method performs obtaining information to be presented on an information presentation unit, presenting information on the information presentation unit, presenting a selection area on the information presentation unit, determining mode for updating information on information presentation unit, in dependence of user input, detecting a rotational motion around an axis of rotation of an information presentation device, and providing either the selected area at an updated position on the information presentation unit or the presented information at an updated position on the information presentation unit, in dependence of the detection of rotational motion and in dependence of obtained user input, enabling the selection area or the information to rotate according to detected rotational motion around an axis of rotation of the information presentation device.

Information presentation device

The present invention relates to a method and a device for presentation of content-rich information portions and content-poor information portions, such as list type information on a display. The method performs obtaining of information for presentation on an information presentation unit, monitors a rotational motion around an axis of rotation of an information presentation device, monitors the position of a seam of the information presentation unit, and presents information on the information presentation unit in dependence of the monitored rotational motion and in dependence of the monitored position of the first and second ends, such that content-rich information is presented on the information presentation unit and that content-poor information is presented across the first and second ends of the information presentation unit.

An audio headset usable for conducting a voice call through a phone, and for playing audio, such as music, from a streaming audio device, by means of a speaker. The headset comprises a signal transceiver, wirelessly connectable to a plurality of devices, including a voice call device and an audio device. A control unit in the headset can be controlled by means of a switch, which is operable to selectively set the control unit to a single point connection setting, in which only audio signals received from a first device are relayed to the speaker, or to a multiple point connection setting, in which audio signals received from the first device or from a second device are relayed to the speaker. The first device is typically a mobile phone, and priority is preferably always given to voice call signals from mobile phone even in the multipoint connection setting.

Audio headset

Bluetooth standard provides the applications with different profiles which allow for example only a specific number of devices operable in one network using the same profile. Without changing the Bluetooth standards the described apparatus and method provide a solution to allow wireless devices to receive data addressed to other wireless devices. Therefore a wireless electronic apparatus for Bluetooth communication receives data specifically addressed to said wireless electronic apparatus and to a wireless electronic device for Bluetooth communication, said wireless electronic device being operable to receive data specifically addressed to said wireless electronic device, said wireless electronic apparatus being different from said wireless electronic device. This can be realised for example by a wrist display which can pickup the electromagnetic waves containing the audio signals sent to the headset. Afterwards the properties can be displayed on the wrist to inform the user about the status of the audio signals or the cell phone transmitting the audio signals.

Distributed bluetooth system

A central portable communication device can display further information related to first information received in an associated local portable communication. The associated local portable communication device may receive and present the first information, and may send, in dependence of a selection made by a user, a request for displaying the further information in the central portable communication device via a local link. The central portable communication device may receive the request, automatically retrieve further information based on the request, and display the additional information on a display.

Continued transfer or streaming of a data file after loss of a local connection

Disclosed is a method for transmitting multimedia content stored on a network to a mobile telephone and/or other rendering device (e.g., a mobile telephone accessory). In one embodiment, a mobile telephone and a mobile telephone accessory (e.g., a headset) are communicatively coupled to a network. The mobile telephone requests information from a device associated with the network. The mobile telephone selects information from a content server to be rendered and a rendering device. The mobile telephone configures the rendering device to receive the information from the network through a network adapter. The mobile telephone maintains control of the session and the rendering device through a second interface (e.g., Bluetooth).
