An anchor rod for use as a composite anchor is secured in a receiving borehole by one of a hardenable or curable organic and inorganic mortar mass. The anchor rod has a means (3) at a trailing end region (2) for engaging a load. The anchor rod has an anchoring region (4) insertable into the receiving borehole and has a thread-like profiling (5) for interaction with the mortar mass injected into the receiving borehole. The thread-like profiling is a coarse screw thread (5) and has a thread pitch (s) which reduces in the axial direction from the leading end toward the trailing end of the anchor rod (1).

Anchor rod for composite anchors

An expansion dowel has a friction reducing coating on the contacting surfaces formed by an inside surface an an expansion sleeve and an outside surface of the shank contacting the inside surface of the sleeve. The coating effects a smaller friction value between the expansion sleeve and the expansion part than the friction value between the expansion sleeve and the surface of a borehole into which the dowel is inserted. This difference in friction assures an effective re-expansion of the expansion dowel in a fractured or broken tensile zone of a receiving material containing the borehole. In addition to the coating, protrusions arranged in pairs are formed on the outside surface of the expansion sleeve for maintaining contact with the borehole surface, particularly in the broken tensile zone during large displacement of the expansion dowel.

Expansion dowel with friction reducing coating

An expansion bolt assembly includes an anchor bolt with a conically shaped expansion head at one end arranged to be drawn into an expansion sleeve. At the opposite end, the anchor bolt forms a plurality of axially extending projections protruding radially outwardly from the anchor bolt shank. The axially extending projections are spaced circumferentially apart around the anchor bolt and the outer surface of the projections are threaded to receive a nut. The anchor bolt can be produced in an extrusion process with great material economy.

Expansion bolt assembly

An axially extending anchoring bush has a pair of opposite ends with a blind borehole extending axially into the bush from one end with the blind borehole arranged to receive and secure an anchor bolt. The bush has at least three generally axially extending slots ranging from the end opposite the end in which the blind borehole is formed toward the other end. Each slot is located in a different plane with the planes extending obliquely of the axis of the bush. Slots extend inwardly from the axially extending outer surface of the bush and intersect inwardly of the outer surface. The planes of the slots define the axially extending sides of a pyramidally shaped expansion member located inwardly of the slot.

An expansion anchor assembly is made up of an anchor bolt and an expansion sleeve encircling and secured in an annular recess on the bolt. Adjacent the annular recess, the anchor bolt has a frusto-conical section. The expansion sleeve has diametrically opposite reduced thickness wall sections with a projection extending outwardly of the surface of the sleeve along each of the reduced thickness wall sections. When the expansion anchor assembly is inserted into a prepared borehole and the frusto-conical section is drawn into the sleeve, the sleeve breaks into axially extending sections along the reduced thickness wall sections and a uniform contact is provided between the sleeve section and the borehole surface.

Expansion anchor assembly

An anchor bolt assembly includes an anchor bolt and an expansion sleeve. The anchor bolt has a leading end and a trailing end and includes a cylindrically shaped body extending from the trailing end toward the leading end. A frusto-concial part extends from the leading end toward the trailing end. A reduced diameter part interconnects the adjacent ends of the body and the frusto-conical part. The reduced diameter part has a diameter smaller than that of the cylindrically shaped body and equal to the minimum diameter of the frusto-conical part. The expansion sleeve is fitted onto the reduced diameter part by deforming it inwardly into partial surface contact with the reduced diameter part. The expansion sleeve has at least one deformable web permitting it to be expanded radially outwardly for anchoring the bolt in a borehole.

Anchor bolt assembly

In a device for melting a body of solid thermoplastic adhesive material, a melting chamber is located within the housing and the adhesive material is fed into the melting chamber by a feed apparatus. A rubber-like elastic gasket is located at the inlet end of the chamber providing a seal around the adhesive material entering the chamber for preventing leakage of molten material back into the housing. An insulator ring formed of a thermostable, poor heat conducting material is located between the melting chamber inlet and the gasket to limit the passage of heat to the gasket. Preferably, the insulator ring is formed of TEFLON.

Sealing member for a device for melting solid adhesive material

An expansion dowel for insertion through an opening in a structural member into a hollow space within the structural member, is formed of a shaft portion, a pair of expansion arms connected to the shaft portion and a pair of webs, each joined to one of the expansion arms and connected to one another. In the inserting position, the expansion arms and webs are folded inwardly and extend along the projection of the axis of the shaft portion. When the dowel is displaced into the expansion position, the expansion arms extend approximately perpendicularly to the axis of the shaft portion and each web is disposed at an acute angle to the expansion arm to which it is joined.

Expansion dowel

An anchor rod is secured within a bore hole by a hardenable adhesive compound. To hold the anchor rod within the bore hole before the adhesive compound sets, clamping members are provided on the exterior surface of the rod inserted into the borehole. The clamping members include rolling bodies held on a clamping surface on the rod so that a tendency of the rod to be displaced from the bore hole effects a wedging action by the clamping surface forcing the rolling body against the surface of the bore hole. The rolling bodies or balls can be held on the clamping surface by an elastomeric sheathing or springs.

An expansion dowel of the type anchored within a prepared borehole, consists of a dowel body, an expansion element and a separating member. The expansion element is defined by a pair of slots cut in the dowel body. The slots do not intersect leaving a web connecting the expansion element to the dowel body. When the dowel is inserted into the borehole, the separating member breaks the web freeing the expansion element. The expansion element is wedge-shaped as is the recess in the dowel body defined by the slots.

An expansion dowel includes a cylindrically shaped axially extending sleeve and a spreader for expanding the sleeve. The sleeve has a leading end and a trailing end and at least one axially extending slot formed in the sleeve. For at least a portion of its length, the slot has oppositely arranged sides converging in the direction of the leading end of the sleeve. The spreader fits into the part of the slot with the converging sides and has complementary converging sides to those in the slot. The spreader includes an impact piece against which impact force can be applied for axially displacing the spreader through the slot and expanding the sleeve.

A clip for holding pipe, cable and the like on a support member, such as C-shaped member, consists of a pair of clamping jaws attached in spaced relation to an elastically deformable base portion. The base portion has two first bearing locations disposed in spaced relation and one second bearing location positioned between and spaced from each of the first bearing locations. At least a part of the base portion has an arcuate or arched shape with the convex side facing toward the clamping jaws. The second bearing location is positioned at the crown on the convex side of the arched shaped part of the base portion. The clip is resiliently biased into gripping relation with the support member at the first and second bearing locations, and, when the clamping jaws are pressed together, the gripping action at the bearing location is released and the clip can be moved relative to the support member.

Pipe and cable clip

A pipe clamp for use on pipe, cable or the like consists of a U-shaped base part forming an opening therethrough and a U-shaped fastening clip insertable into the opening through the base part. Toothed strips are provided on the interior surfaces of the base part and on the exterior surfaces of the clip for locking the two parts together. The base part has a closed bottom surface and an open top surface and two pair of opposite sides extending between the bottom and top surfaces. The fastening clip is inserted into the base part through the open top surface. A U-shaped opening is provided in each of one pair of opposite sides and the U-shaped opening narrows toward the top surface. The toothed strips are located in the other pair of opposite sides.
