A textile machine for producing cross-wound packages, the machine being equipped with a plurality of workstations arranged next to one another on both longitudinal sides of the machine and having a cross-wound package transport apparatus. The cross-wound package transport apparatus has a first transport device, arranged between the two rows of workstations for conveying cross-wound packages, and a handling apparatus for moving cross-wound packages from the first transport device to the second transport device. The handling apparatus is arranged between the end regions of the first transport device.

A textile machine for producing cross-wound packages, comprising a plurality of workstations, each of which has at least one pneumatic consumer, and comprising a suction system which has at least one vacuum source to which the pneumatic consumers of the workstations are connected via a machine-length vacuum duct arranged in the region of the central axis between two rows of workstations. In order to modify such a textile machine producing cross-wound packages in such a way that it is ensured that the required minimum spinning vacuum is always available at all workstations of the textile machine during spinning operation, according to the invention the textile machine producing cross-wound packages has, in addition to the vacuum duct, a machine-length bypass duct which is also installed in the region of the central axis and is arranged above chain ducts for service units.

A tube storage and transport device for a textile machine producing cross-wound packages, which has a plurality of similar workstations arranged side-by-side on both longitudinal machine sides, having a central tube magazine and two empty-tube conveyor belts arranged in the region of the longitudinal machine sides is provided. The yarn guide (), acted upon by the step motor (), is initially displaced in the direction of its zero position (NS) and positioned at a slow speed against a defined detent () downstream of the zero position (NS). Then, the step motor () is switched off, causing the rotor () of the step motor () to drop into one of two possible stop positions (RS, RS). A method and apparatus for transmitting data within a textile machine of the type having a central main power supply and many identical work or spinning stations is disclosed with the data being for controlling operational at independently operable work stations, particularly in open-end bobbin winding machines. A separate power supply is included for providing a buffer voltage for use at memories within the individual spinning station central units, with the power supply output being DC voltage at a predetermined level. The DC buffer voltage signal is modulated with the data for transmission to the work station, transmitted to the work station and demodulated thereat for use.
