A liquid dispenser bottle includes a suction tube and a spray nozzle. An end of the tube abuts an intersection of the bottle base and wall when the bottle is in use. A screen extending between opposite sides of a wall of the tube at the end where the intersection is located overcomes a tube tendency to collapse and enables liquid to flow from the corner of the bottle into the tube. Aesthetic undulations in the bottle wall cause liquid to flow therefrom toward the base when the bottle is vertically disposed, so liquid is not retained in the undulations.

A water hose includes a helically shaped coiled tube having interior and exterior elliptical cross-sections with a flexural modulus greater than the flexural modulus of a coiled tube having interior and exterior circular cross-sections and the same neutral center line length as the elliptical cross-sections, but otherwise having the same properties as the elliptical cross-sections. The tube is made of extruded plastic resin having a durometer hardness measurement approximately in the range of 70-80 Shore A and has on its periphery ridges extending longitudinally at right angles to the elliptical cross-sections. In first and second embodiments, the elliptical cross-sections have major and minor axes respectively extending in the direction of the coil longitudinal axis and in planes extending at right angles to the longitudinal axis, and vice versa.

A picture hanger has a metal base from which is stamped a tougue for receiving a wire of a picture frame hung on a wall. The tongue has a convex shape with respect to a front face of the base and a ledge therefor on which the wire rests bears against a protrusion extending from the base front face. The tongue has bends with progressively increasing angles as it extends away from the base.

A household cart has a wooden or molded plastic rectangular base for carrying household items. Four caster assemblies on the base are close to the four corners of the base. A U-shaped handle has hooks for carrying household items approximately halfway between side edges of the base, about equidistant from front and back edges of the base. The handle can be positioned either transversely or longitudinally of the base. In the handle transverse position, legs of the handle fit into a first pair of receptacles located between (1) the casters close to the base back edge and (2) the cart transverse center line. In the longitudinal position, the legs fit into a second pair of receptacles located along a longitudinal center line of the base. The receptacles of the first pair are spaced from each other by the same distance as the receptacles of the second pair. The handle has hooks for carrying the household items and is selectively extendable so it can carry relatively long household items, such as pants, skirts and topcoats. The handle has spring properties and is dimensioned so it can fit around and be stowed on skirts on the caster assemblies, enabling the cart to be put in small spaces, such as an automobile trunk.

Household cart

A point of purchase system carrying consumer articles that are for sale and displaying information about the articles comprises a vertically extending mounting structure mounting plural point of purchase devices. Each device includes plural elongated elements extending generally parallel to each other. The elements receive and carry plural hanger mechanisms and articles associated therewith. Each element is mounted on the mounting structure so the elements extend generally at right angles from the mounting structure. Adjacent pairs of the elements are connected to each other so the adjacent pairs of the elements are horizontally spaced in approximately the same plane from each other by a distance determined by the spacing of receptacles for the elements on the mounting structure. The adjacent elements together carry a placard spanning the distance between the adjacent elements. The placard is at ends of the adjacent elements removed from the mounting structure and farther from the mounting structure than the articles carried by the elements. The placard has indicia about one of the articles on the mounting structure and a sample of the article and is located in such a manner that the indicia and sample article are clearly visible without obstructions to purchasers.

Point of purchase display system and device

A water treating device for a domestic water handling device such as a toilet water tank, an air conditioning drain pan or a humidifier includes a housing having permanent magnets in a flow path of water flowing through the housing via openings in the housing, to collect free ions in the water. An antimicrobial polymer disinfecting agent is in a mass inserted in a chamber in the housing and/or in a polymer in a housing surface. The housing is configured so an air bubble forms against the housing roof to assure that a base of the housing rests on the floor of the water handling device. Ribs adding structural strength to the cover are aligned and have approximately the same size and shape as slots in the cover roof through which water passes so the ribs obscure the magnets from view from above and to sides of the cover. The magnets are held in place by a spring finger extending upward from the base to exert a force downwardly against the magnet upper pole face.
