Various embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to methods and systems for producing plastic profiles. In one example embodiment, a method is disclosed including the steps of plasticizing a starting material in an extruder on an extrusion line, pressing the starting material through an extrusion die, cooling and calibrating the extruded material in a dry calibration and/or a wet calibration, and cutting the extruded material to length to form individual profile rods, cutting to length one or more profile samples can be requested intermittently at any point in time, applying, via a labeling device, on the profile samples characteristic information relating to the current extrusion process, taking into account the transit time of the profile.

It is provided an apparatus for supporting the erection of a plastics profile during the start-up process of an extrusion line for the extrusion of plastics profiles. An initially bulky profile strand of the plastics profile, which is withdrawn through a calibration unit, can be enclosed by a profile guiding trim of a profile guiding device in front of a caterpillar take-off, wherein the profile guiding trim and/or the profile guiding device can be spatially fixed against a displacement in the extrusion direction in front of an inlet region into the caterpillar take-off and can be shifted and fixed with regard to the vertical and/or lateral position and/or can be rotated about the extrusion direction and be fixed.

A calibration device for a calibration, in particular wet calibration of an extrusion device is provided. The calibration device comprises a calibrating element which includes an opening for guiding through a profile produced by means of an extrusion die of the extrusion device and at least one rotatable guide roller which is in contact with the profile when the profile is guided through the opening. The calibration device further comprises at least one separate bearing element insertable into a cutout of the calibrating element, via which the guide roller can rotatably be mounted on the calibrating element.

Extrusion device and method for influencing wall thicknesses of an extruded plastic profile

A device is suggested for calibrating an extruded plastic profile () having a shaping extrusion die () and having a framework () which is displaceable in the longitudinal direction of the plastic profile () in relation to the extrusion die (), which has a cooling tank () and, between the cooling tank () and the extrusion die (), a dry calibration apparatus () which is replaceably attached to a carrier () and is connectable on one hand to supply lines for a coolant liquid feed and removal and on the other hand to a partial vacuum. To obtain advantageous mounting conditions, it is suggested that the carrier (), which is adjustable in relation to the cooling tank () in the longitudinal direction of the plastic profile (), form a distributor, connected to the supply lines (), having line transitions () for the coolant liquid and the partial vacuum in the placement area of the dry calibration apparatus (), which is provided with corresponding line transitions.

Device for calibrating an extruded plastic profile

An extrusion die for extruding hollow profiles is suggested having a die head (), which is connected to a runner part () and forms extrusion channels () for shaping a profiled strand (), and having a runner chamber (), which is provided between the die head () and the runner part () and runs transversely to the extrusion channels (), which is connected around its circumference () to an annular channel () for impingement with plastic melt and from which the extrusion channels () of the die head () originate. In order to provide advantageous construction conditions, it is suggested that the runner part () have an inner channel () discharging into the runner chamber () inside the annular channel () for additional impingement of the runner chamber () with plastic melt.

Extrusion die for extruding hollow profiles

A device for calibrating an extruder plastic profile having a calibration unit for the profiled strand coming-out of a molding profile nozzle is described, the calibration unit having a molding body () enclosing the profiled strand, having calibration surfaces (), which press against the profiled strand, and vacuum slots (), which run in the calibration surfaces () transversely to the passage direction of the profiled strand () and are connectable to a partial vacuum source. In order to provide advantageous construction conditions, it is suggested that at least individual vacuum slots () penetrate the molding body () transversely to the passage direction () and be closed on outside of the molding body () using a removable cover ().

An apparatus for calibrating an extruded plastic profile forming at least one longitudinal groove (), comprises a calibrating body () receiving the profile (). Body () comprises a form nose () with a cooling channel () engaging in the longitudinal groove () and extending in the direction of passage of the profile, and coolant bores () extending transversally to the form nose () and crossing its cooling channel (). Cooling channel () which is open on both face sides is connected via a continuous slot () with a receiving recess () for sealing elements () which are inserted from the open face sides and form connecting openings () for the flow connection between the cooling channel () and the associated coolant bores (), which receiving recess penetrates the calibrating body () in the direction of passage and extends into the region of the coolant bores ()

Apparatus for calibrating an extruded plastic profile piece that forms at least one longitudinal groove

The invention describes an apparatus for cooling and calibrating an extruded plastic profile () with a cooling tank () receiving a cooling liquid, with calibrating elements () disposed within the cooling tank () for the plastic profile () subjected to the cooling liquid, and with a draw-off device () which is disposed downstream of the cooling tank () in the draw-off direction of the plastic profile (). In order to provide advantageous constructional conditions it is proposed that at least one damping device () is provided between the inlet-sided calibrating element () of the cooling tank () and the draw-off device (), which damping device rests at least in sections in the zone of one circumference on the plastic profile ().
