Disclosed herein are cable sealing devices having features for enhancing effective sealing, volume compensation, seal pressurization, cable size range-taking, cable installation and insert installation. Also disclosed herein is an enclosure including at least one cable sealing device.

Fiber optic cable sealing device

A management tray is disposed inside a drop terminal to organize and guide optical fibers. The management tray may define an anchor station, connector storage stations, a splice retention station, a fanout station, and/or a splitter retention station.

An enclosure () includes a base () defining a splice region () and a cover () coupled to the base () to move between a closed position and an open position. A plurality of ruggedized adapters () are on the cover (), each adapter having an inner port () and an outer port (). Splitter module and enclosure for use therein

A cable organizer for fiber optic cables includes a support structure, and a groove plate mounted to the support structure. The groove plate has an access groove for managing fiber optic cables on the groove plate. Fiber optic trays are pivotally mounted to the groove plate, and each fiber optic tray is configured to manage an optical fiber from the fiber optic cables. The access groove is at an angle relative to the fiber optic trays to provide a side access to the fiber optic cables.

The fiber transition opening () can have an access structure for allowing optical fibers to be inserted into the fiber transition opening ().

A seal () for a telecommunications enclosure () includes a first body () made of a first material. The first body () defines a port () and the port () defines a port axis (). The first body () further includes a first axial face (), an opposite second axial face (), and a peripheral surface (). The peripheral surface () surrounds the first body () between the first axial face () and second axial face (), and the peripheral surface () further surrounds the port. The seal () also includes a second body () made of a second material. The second body () is disposed on at least the peripheral surface () of the first body (). The second material is softer than the first material of the first body ().

A fiber optic module includes a housing having a first major surface and an opposite second major surface. The module includes an input configured to receive at least one module input fiber. The module includes at least one connectorized pigtail output routed from the housing. The pigtail output is configured to carry a signal from at the at least one module input fiber entering the housing via the input. The module further includes at least one connector storage feature disposed on the first major surface of the housing. The connector storage feature is configured to receive and store the connectorized pigtail output.

Module and enclosure for use therein

The present disclosure relates to enclosures such as optical termination enclosures for telecommunications networks. The enclosures can include housings for accommodating fiber pass-through cables and drop cables. In one example, the enclosure can include tethers having ruggedized fiber opt connectors for coupling to the drop cables or any other cable. The present disclosure also relates to a tether assembly that can include an overmold that anchors strength members to a cable jacket of the tether assembly.

An optical splitter module () can be carried on a cover () of an enclosure () between a contoured surface () and a row of optical adapters (). Output pigtails () from the splitter module () are routed to the optical adapters (). In certain examples, a significantly longer input fiber () is routed from the splitter module () to a splice region () at a base () of the enclosure (). Certain types of splitter modules () are mounted to the cover () at an angle relative to an insertion axis for a feeder cable (). A certain type of splitter module () curves about a minor axis (A) so that one major surface () has a concave curvature and another major surface () has a convex curvature.
