An electrical distribution assembly comprising a junction box having a box housing. The box housing comprises a plug portion to receive an electrical connector. The electrical connector has a connector housing comprising a plurality of cavities to receive and hold a terminal. The plug portion comprises a plurality of first blocking devices protruding along a mating axis. Each cavity comprises a second blocking device extending along the mating axis. Each of the first blocking devices blocks the corresponding second blocking device in a blocked position when the corresponding cavity is empty, thereby preventing movement of the connector housing towards the box housing. The assembly further comprises a terminal movable from an outward position to an inserted position. When inserted in the cavity, the terminal relocates the corresponding first or second blocking device to release the blocking, thereby allowing movement of the connector housing towards the box housing.

Electrical distribution assembly

A power commutation module includes a printed circuit board, a first plate-shaped bus bar, and a first plurality of power switches each including a plurality of connection pins which are connected on the upper face of the printed circuit board and a metal base plate which is applied against the bus bar. The first plurality of power switches is mounted on the first bus bar. The power switches are generally aligned along a longitudinal edge of the first bus bar, in that said longitudinal edge of the first bus bar is arranged along a first longitudinal edge of the printed circuit board, and the portion of the first bus bar on which the power switches are mounted is arranged next to the printed circuit board.

Power commutation module

The invention relates to a fuse holder comprising two housing elements which, once assembled, together form a tube in which a support for a fuse is accommodated. Each of the two housing elements comprises a contact for establishing an electrical contact with a terminal of a fuse housed in the support, when the support is installed between the assembled housing elements. The support may comprise means to ensure the correct position of each contact in its respective housing element. The support may also comprise means to ensure the correct orientation of the fuse in the support. The support may also comprise means for retaining a seal ensuring sealing between the two housing elements.

Fuse holder

The invention relates to a fuse holder comprising two housing elements which, once assembled, together form a tube in which a fuse is accommodated. The first housing element includes a base extending longitudinally along the direction of assembly of the two housing elements with each other. A seal is placed on the base mainly in a plane perpendicular to the direction of assembly. During assembly, the second housing element is brought to at least partially cover the base to sandwich the seal between the two housing elements. A rim extends around the base in the direction of assembly in order to protect the seal until the two housing elements are assembled together.

Sealed fuse holder

The invention concerns a plug connector for a high current device, intended to be placed in particular in the engine compartment of a motor vehicle. A device such as a printed circuit board housed in the plug connector is connected to a cable via at least one rigid conductive metal bar (bus bar). A ring is interposed between the rigid conductive metal bar and a terminal electrically connected to the cable. A bolt holds the terminal, the ring and the bus bar clamped together. To ensure the seal of the plug connector at the bolt, a first ring seal is placed between the ring and an unthreaded zone of the shank of the bolt, and a second seal is placed between the ring and the plug connector.

Sealed plug connector

The invention relates to a connector for motor vehicles. By means of the invention the device for assuring the position of the contacts is prevented from being accidentally displaced from its shipping position to its use position. To this end, the device for assuring the position of the contacts is locked in the shipping position against a stop. On insertion of one or more contacts into its respective cavity, a direct interaction between this contact or these contacts and the device for assuring the position of the contacts causes escape from the stop. The device for assuring the position of the contacts can then be displaced from its shipping position to its use position.

Connector for motor vehicles

A power plug comprising a housing with a plurality of receptacles and extending along a receptacle axis parallel to the mating direction. Each receptacle has a central part and a front part with an opening to receive a male terminal of the complementary electrical socket. The power plug comprises a plurality of female terminals passing through the housing in parallel to the mating direction. Each female terminal includes a central part located in the central part of the receptacle, and a front part projecting from the central part in the mating direction and receiving a male terminal. The receptacle includes a plurality of ribs arranged radially on an inner side of the receptacle and protruding transversely inward. The ribs of the receptacle cooperate with the front part of the corresponding female terminal to center the front part of the corresponding female terminal with respect to the receptacle axis.

Power plug

An electrical connector assembly including a first connector having a first casing and a plurality of contacts and a second connector having a second casing and a plurality of mating contacts. The first and second connectors are configured to transition between an unassembled condition and an assembled condition to connect the plurality of contacts together with the mating contacts. The second connector supports a connector position assurance (CPA) element. In the unassembled condition, the CPA element abuts against a surface borne by one of connectors, thereby preventing movement of the CPA element relative to the second connector between a safety and an active position. In the assembled condition, the CPA element does not abut against the surface and is movable relative to the second connector between the safety and active positions, so as to connect the mating contact carried by the CPA element with the corresponding contact.

The cable junction includes at least two electrical cables extending side by side, each including its own independent shield and a front end section where its independent shield is stripped off, a common shield surrounding the front end sections and the independent shields of the cables, and a clamping device for clamping the common shield on the independent shields. The clamping device includes internal clamping means for clamping the common shield on flanks of the independent shield sheaths.

Cable junction

The invention proposes a connecting assembly including a frame, a contact receptacle (hereafter 'receptacle') of an electrical connector and a contact header (hereafter 'header') of a counterpart electrical connector to be plugged into the electrical connector according to a plugging direction, wherein it is arranged such that the header and the receptacle can be both independently pushed into the plugging direction with respect to the frame, and wherein it further includes: first stopping means arranged for stopping the header on the receptacle if the header is pushed according to the plugging direction with a force that is lower than to a first force limit F, and for being gone beyond if said force is greater than Fsuch that the header and the receptacle are then connected together; second stopping means arranged for stopping the receptacle on the frame if the receptacle is pushed according to the plugging direction with a force that is lower than a second force limit F, and for being gone beyond if said second force is greater than Fsuch that the receptacle is then mounted to the frame; wherein Fis greater than F

Connector assembly

This connecting device has a connector and a counterpart connector suitable to mate therewith, and at least one RFID tag attached to one of said connectors and suitable to communicate with reader, said RFID tag including an antenna. The device further includes a switch adapted to put the RFID tag either in a first communication state or in a second communication state, depending on the full or incomplete mating state of the connectors.
