A fitting component for mounting in a piece of furniture for receiving a hinge or the like. A generally cylindrical fitting component with a central opening for receiving the hinge and a pair of opposed inclined openings, with a locking element positioned in each inclined opening. Each locking element includes a cam section and is rotatable from a first position within the circumferential outline of the fitting component into a second position in which the cam section projects beyond the fitting component circumference for engaging the piece of furniture and anchoring the fitting component therein.

Fitting component anchored into a sunk seat

A hinge for a flush-type door comprising a plate member which has two integral, elongate, generally flat and mutually perpendicular portions and adapted for mounting to the door so that a first of the portions abuts the door edge and the other portion abuts an adjoining face of the door. A pivot pin is supported along a free longitudinal edge of the portion of the plate member which abuts the door edge. A hinge arm is pivotally supported on the pivot pin and is mounted to a face of the furniture member or the like to which the door is hinged. The hinge arm has a width measured along the axis of the pivot pin which is substantially less than the length of the plate member abutting the door edge. A recess is defined in the plate member whose width along the axis of the hinge pivot slightly exceed that of the width of the hinge arm so as to permit the hinge arm to be received within the recess when the door is in its closed position.

Single-pivot hinge

A hinge comprising a securing cylinder which is adapted to be embedded in a mating bore in a door or wall and also a connecting block fitting into a recess provided in said securing cylinder. A screw secures the connecting block to the securing cylinder, and in response thereto the outer periphery of the connecting block is urged tightly against the walls which define the mating bore. A hinge arm is pivotally connected to said connecting block.

Furniture hinge

A scissors type hinge having crossed pivotably joined hinge arms, one of which is pivotably mounted on a fixing bracket and the other to a guide lever. The guide lever is pivotably mounted on the fixing bracket and spring means urge the hinge away from dead center so as to be fully open or fully closed, thereby achieving a latch effect.

Hinges

A hinge for pivotally supporting a glass door to a furniture part or the like. The hinge comprises a housing which fits within a mating through aperture in the door. The housing is provided with a peripheral flange which abuts one surface of the door adjacent to the recess therein and also has a clamping means detachably secured thereto which abuts the opposite surface of the door so that the housing can be tightly secured to the glass door. A generally L-shaped hinge arm is provided which is secured to the furniture part and which defines therein a hollow interior portion. The hinge arm is pivotally mounted to the housing. A latch member within the interior portion of the hinge arm is pivotally supported therein, and a spring resiliently urges the latch in a direction to engage with an abutment on the housing when the glass door is moved to its closed position.
