A monitoring device for the circulation of a patient includes sensors for recording data, an input unit for inputting patient specific data and a connected a data recording and analysis device configured to determine the right atrial pressure (RAP), the mean arterial pressure (MAP) and the cardiac output (CO) and to determine the mean systemic filling pressure (Pms) and to determine the cardiac efficiency (Eh) therefrom. A device records a pressure value (Pps,char) characterizing the pressure assistance during positive-pressure ventilation. The data recording and analysis device is configured to determine a pressure-corrected mean systemic filling pressure (Pms) and a pressure-corrected cardiac efficiency (Eh) by the difference from the right atrial pressure (RAP) and the pressure value (Pps,char) characteristic of the pressure assistance being used instead of the right atrial pressure (RAP). A display device displays the pressure-corrected mean systemic filling pressure (Pms) and the pressure-corrected cardiac efficiency (Eh).

A device and system for dispensing medical active ingredients. Medical active ingredients may be, e.g., drugs or anesthetics, which enter the patient's bloodstream. Injection pumps and perfusors are usually used for their dispensing, and vapors are frequently used in the case of inhalation anesthetics. The device permits the dispensing of a plurality of medical active ingredients, in which the rates of dispensing can be set precisely and changed with rapid action. This is accomplished by the series connection of a plurality of devices according to the present invention, which are designed as modules. Each module comprises a cartridge () as well as a delivery device () for delivering the particular medical active ingredient to be administered to a fluid interface (), which leads to a supply line () designed either as an infusion line or as a respiration tube. The module has a coupling means ().

Device for dispensing medical active ingredients

A respirator is provided with a gas-metering device for respiration gases, a control unit influencing and monitoring the metering of the gas, an input unit connected to the control unit for introducing commands into the control unit, a display unit outputting parameters, a rotary knob changing preselected parameters, and with an acknowledge switch, which takes over the changed parameter as a new set value into the control unit and is actuated by the rotary knob. The display unit is designed as an interactive flat screen with a contact-sensitive surface. Data entry sectors with setting segments and output sectors for parameters to be displayed are provided within the flat screen. The input unit is designed as a keypad arranged on the side of the flat screen. At least preselected data entry sectors on the flat screen can be switched by means of the keypad. The rotary knob and/or the acknowledge switch are/is switched into functional connection with the selected setting segment by touching at least one of the setting segments within a data entry sector.
