A lubricating-oil device for an internal combustion engine having two cylinder banks and a lubricating oil circuit with a main oil passage in each cylinder bank comprises a casing cover which is mounted on the front of the engine and includes a heat exchanger and an oil filter with all required communication passages for the oil and a supply passage which interconnects the main oil passages in the cylinder banks and which is in communication with the oil filter outlet for concurrently supplying filtered oil from the oil filter to both main oil passages.

Lubricating-oil device for an internal combustion engine

A casing cover for an internal combustion engine with an engine casing having two cylinder banks is mounted on one end of the engine casing and includes an oil cooler, an oil filter, an oil filter bypass arrangement and also a transverse cooling water passage in communication with main cooling water passages extending along the cylinder banks and a transverse oil passage in communication with main oil passages also extending along the cylinder banks, and comprises three adjacent but separate functional areas, a first lowermost area which includes the lubricating oil passages leading to and from the oil cooler, the oil filter and the main oil passages, a second functional area which includes a cooling water space receiving the oil cooler and is disposed above the first functional area and a third functional area which is disposed next to the second functional area and includes cooling water return passages receiving the cooling water from said cylinder banks.

Casing cover with oil cooler for an internal combustion engine

A filter arrangement having an upright filter with a filter housing and a filter insert for cleaning lubricating oil of an internal combustion engine, in which the filter is fastened at a filter socket located in the lower part in the installed position of the filter; a first channel for feeding dirty oil, a second channel for discharging clean oil and a third channel for discharging oil from the interior of the filter are provided in the filter socket as well as a passage from the interior of the filter housing to the third channel which is necessarily opened during a change of the filter insert. In order to achieve a clear separation of the clean oil from the oil flowing off out of the filter during a change of the filter, the passage is arranged in a collar of the filter socket closely surrounding the lower part of the filter housing and is covered off by the filter housing in the installed position thereof.

Filter arrangement

A rotational speed controller for an injection pump in air-compressing injection internal combustion engines with an abutment member limiting the full-load injection quantity by way of the control rack of the injection pump; during the starting operation of the internal combustion engine, the abutment member releases the travel of the control rack in the direction of the starting quantity while a temperature-dependent control member directly cooperating with the abutment is provided, which above a predetermined temperature cancels the release of the starting quantity.

A commercial vehicle driven by an injection internal combustion engine with a transmission including a hydrodynamic coupling or hydrodynamic torque converter having a by-pass clutch and with an engine brake actuatable by way of a switch; an adjusting mechanism which is operatively connected with the controller of the injection pump includes an actuating cylinder containing an actuating piston adapted to be acted upon by a pressure medium and controllable in dependence on the engine brake; means which are provided for influencing the adjusting mechanism during the operation of the internal combustion engine, are interconnected between the engine brake switch and the adjusting mechanism and, upon disengagement of the by-pass clutch shortly prior to reaching the idling rotational speed of the internal combustion engine, effect an automatic adjustment of the controller of the injection pump from the zero fuel feed position to the idling position.
