The invention concerns a method for fastening a retainer of an airbag, in particular of a window bag, to a body of a motor vehicle. The method for fastening including the steps of: arranging the retainer on the body by inserting a hollow pin in a corresponding bodyshell opening; positioning a tool on the retainer; and pressing a pin into an opening of the hollow pin to radially expand the hollow pin, and thereby securing the hollow pin in the corresponding bodyshell opening.

Method for fastening a retainer of an airbag

A fastening device for the airbag, in particular a window airbag, is provided, having a retainer to which the airbag can be fastened and that has an opening through which a mounting stud can be passed. Fastened to the retainer is a slide element that can be slid from an open position into a fastened position and the stud is captured in the opening by the slide in the fastened position.

A fastening device is described with which rod-shaped articles of different diameters can be fastened on a substrate. The fastening device consists of a U-shaped base body in which a rod-shaped article can be arranged and which can be connected to the substrate, and of a beam-shaped closure member with which the arms of the 'U' can be closed. One end of the beam-shaped closure member can be connected to the base body via a catch connection with teeth. At the other end of the beam-shaped closure member there is shaped a joint lug which forms a hinge-like joint with a joint pin shaped on the base body. The fastening of the article can be achieved after a rod-shaped article has been inserted into the base body by pivoting the closure member and engagement on the opposite end of the joint. Different diameter articles can be fastened on account of the teeth.

A clip for providing end to end connection between a rigid and a flexible hydraulic pipe comprises a base by which it may be attached to a workpiece, a frame portion extending upwardly from the base having a circular bore, which can receive a rigid pipe as a force fit, and a hexagonal bore which may receive a flexible pipe and hold it against twisting and clamp means on the base to embrace the flexible pipe and hold it in position.

A clip for the retention of pipes and cables of various diameters or thicknesses comprising a first pair of resilient support members spaced apart by a distance smaller than the diameter of the smallest object to be retained and supported, the resilient support members being temporarily displaceable to allow the object to press between the support members and the support members resuming their original position after the passage of the object so as to retain the object and further comprising as opposing resilient support members a pair of flexible fingers which are arranged scissor-wise side-by-side and adapted to urge the object towards the first pair of resilient support members so that the object is maintained in contact therewith. The first pair of resilient support members may take the form of relatively short resilient fingers or may be flexible fin-like members extending across the clip.
