A conveyor system () includes a conveyor course (), which has a curved portion and two tracks () located one above the other, and a conveyor carriage (); each of the tracks () is assigned at least one horizontal track roller () of the conveyor carriage (), and at least one of the tracks () is assigned a further horizontal track roller (), which is spaced apart in the conveying direction (L) from the one track roller () associated with the same track (). The axes of rotation (A, B) of the two track rollers () are located in alignment with one another; and, whenever both tracks () are each assigned a further track roller (), the axes of rotation (A, B) of these further track rollers () are likewise in alignment with one another.

The positioning device for positioning a movable conveyed goods carrier on a conveyor track in a clamped position includes a stop device (); a movement device for a positioning movement and a drive () for driving the movement device. The movement device has a positioning element (), which is engagable with a positioning counter element (), so that the conveyed goods carrier () is clamped between the movement device and the stop device (). The movement device also has a clamping arrangement including the positioning element () and two clamping parts (), which is movable by the drive () from an out-of-engagement configuration into a clamping configuration, in which it exerts a holding force on the conveyed goods carrier () in cooperation with the stop device (). An apparatus for detecting the presence of a workpiece carrier in a predetermined track portion of a workpiece carrier transporting path has a housing, a slider which is displaceably guided in the housing and is displaced by the workpiece carrier, at least one proximity switch which is releasable by the slider, two turning elements provided with teeth and arranged on the housing, each of the turning elements being supported turnably around an axis provided on the housing, the turning elements being in tooth engagement with one another, the turning elements being also in tooth engagement with linear tooth sets provided on opposite sides of the slider and extending in a linear displacement direction.

An elongated housing 10 has a positioning rod 13 located therein, slidable with respect to the housing. A guide rod 14 slides parallel to the positioning rod. The guide rod and the positioning rod are coupled together by end elements 38, 39. The housing 10 is formed with recesses or bores 11, 12 for the positioning rods 13, 14 and additionally is formed with bores to transfer energy at power level for subsequent positioning or operating units, as well as to permit transfer of control signals. The positioning rod can be operated by fluid pressure by coupling a piston, slidable within its operating space and forming a cylinder, or by an electrical rack-and-pinion or worm screw drive. The unit is compact and closed towards the outside, suitable for modular association with similar or other units, and devoid of external flexible hoses or cables interfering with access thereto.

To isolate shock deburring valve units in a shock deburring system and prevent back-flash or backfire during operation of the deburring system, and absorb thermal and pressure shocks exerted against the deburring valves--which, in operation, are closed--at least one of the valves is separated from the mixing chamber where the explosive force arises by a connecting line which is long enough and encloses therein a volume of the respective gas which is such that under the pressure due to an explosion in the mixing chamber, the gas can compress within the respective connecting line to thermally isolate the valve from the chamber and provide a compressible thermally isolating shock cushion for the respective valve to protect the valve against thermal damage and shock. Preferably, the valve is constructed to use a resiliently deformable sealing material between a portion of the valve bore and the valve sleeve in which a cylindrical insert is located so that pressure transferred to the closed valve will result in inwardly directed radial pressure upon deformation of the deformable substance over the sleeve and against the cylindrical projection to provide a reliable seal and, should damage to the sealing material result, permit self-healing of the respective valve.
