Described herein is a technology for a wakeup pattern—data stream correlation by a detector to provide a trigger condition for a microcontroller in a wakeup receiver (WuRX). For example, the detector includes a data packet layer with a plurality of index registers that are updated through sampling of data streams. A sample clock is coupled to each of the plurality of index registers to independently activate each of the plurality of index registers. A shared comparator will then compare the updated plurality of index registers to corresponding shift registers that are initialized with rotating wakeup pattern bits. Based upon a number of matching results, the detector generates a triggering signal that facilitates a low-power operating mode to a high-power operating mode change.

Low-power wakeup pattern detection of multiple data streams

An integrated circuit is described herein that includes a semiconductor substrate. First and second piezoresistive sensors are on or in the substrate where each have a respective sensing axis extending in first and second directions respectively parallel with a surface of the substrate, where the second direction is perpendicular to the first direction. A third piezoresistive sensor is on or in the substrate and has a respective sensing axis extending in a third direction parallel with the surface of the substrate and neither parallel nor perpendicular to the first and second directions.

For sensing pH of a fluid, a heating apparatus of a semiconductor die controls a temperature of the fluid to a first temperature. A first voltage of a gate of a floating gate transistor of the semiconductor die is measured while the temperature of the fluid is at the first temperature. Also, the heating apparatus controls the temperature of the fluid to a second temperature that is different than the first temperature. A second voltage of the gate is measured while the temperature of the fluid is at the second temperature. The pH of the fluid is determined based on the first and second voltages, the first temperature and the second temperature.

In described examples, an apparatus includes: at least one resonant circuit for receiving a radio frequency signal; a rectifier coupled to the resonant circuit to output a first rectified signal with a constant level portion and a portion matching a first portion of the radio frequency signal, and to output a second rectified signal having a constant level portion and a portion that matches a second portion of the radio frequency signal; a first limiter circuit to limit a voltage of the first rectified signal to a predetermined maximum voltage level; a second limiter circuit to limit the voltage of the second rectified signal to the predetermined maximum voltage level; a third limiter circuit to limit a voltage of the first rectified signal to a predetermined minimum voltage level; and a fourth limiter circuit to limit the voltage of the second rectified signal to the predetermined minimum voltage level.

Disclosed examples include multichannel RF transponder circuits with multiple transponder channel circuits individually connected to a corresponding antenna circuit, a configurable shared modulation capacitor, a channel switching circuit to selectively connect the modulation capacitor to a selected transponder channel circuit, and a modulation circuit to selectively change the capacitance value of the modulation capacitor between two or more values according to a modulation control signal to transmit uplink data using the selected transponder channel circuit.

Described examples include an integrated circuit including a receive portion to receive an encoded transmission on a line. The receive portion has: a wake mode in which the receiver is capable of receiving the encoded transmission; and a sleep mode in which the receiver is not capable of receiving the encoded transmission. A wakeup controller monitors the line for a wakeup signal and provides a signal to the receive portion to cause the receive portion to enter the wake mode when the wakeup controller receives the wakeup signal.

Circuitry includes: a resonant circuit for receiving a radio frequency signal; a rectifier outputting a first rectified signal matching a portion of the radio frequency signal and a second rectified signal having portion that matches the radio frequency signal and is out of phase with the first rectified signal; a clock regenerator circuit outputting a clock waveform corresponding to the first and second rectified signals; an oscillator timing circuit forming a first sloped waveform having a linear slope and a second sloped waveform having a linear slope, and comparators to compare the first sloped waveform and the second sloped waveform. The oscillator timing circuit outputs a master clock signal having transitions when the first and the second sloped waveform have equal magnitudes. A pluck pulse generator forms a pulse of a predetermined length when the master clock signal transitions.

Methods and apparatus for transponder oscillator with optimized timing

An RFID transponder having an analog front end receiver having an attenuator coupled to receive an RF-signal from an antenna and to attenuate the RF-signal, an amplifier having a fixed amplifier gain and being coupled to receive and to amplify the attenuated RF-signal and a control unit coupled to control a gain of the attenuator, wherein the control unit is configured to control the attenuator gain in response to a level of the amplified RF-signal, the control unit is configured to have a plurality of predetermined states causing the attenuator to increase (step-up) or to decrease (step-down), its gain by a predefined step size, wherein the step size of a step-up is equal to or smaller than the step size of a step-down and wherein the control unit is further configured to switch, upon reaching or exceeding a predefined threshold value, from a first to a second state having a smaller step size and causing the attenuator to change the gain such that the slope of the RF signal inverts and to switch, upon reaching the predefined threshold again, to a third state causing the attenuator to change a prefix of the gain.

RFID transponder and method for operating the same

An electronic device which includes a first stage having an input capacitance, a switch, a buffer and a second stage having an input sensitive to charge injection and/or voltage glitches. An input of the buffer and the input of the second stage are coupled together at a first node which is configured to be coupled to a voltage source for supplying a reference voltage to the input of the first stage having the input capacitance. In a first configuration of the switch, the switch is arranged to either connect the input of the first stage to the first node and to disconnect the input of the first stage from an output of the buffer. In a second configuration of the switch, to connect the input of the first stage to the output of the buffer and to disconnect the input of the first stage from the first node.
