A guide carriage for a linear roller bearing is supportable in a longitudinally displaceable manner via a large number of rolling elements on a guide rail which extends in a longitudinal direction, and has at least one rolling surface part including at least one carriage rolling surface for the rolling elements and is attached to a main body of the guide carriage via at least one adhesive layer, and a thin sheet-metal panel which has at least one opening is located between the rolling surface part and the main body, with the adhesive layer located inside the opening.

The present invention relates to a linear guide arrangement comprising a guide rail with at least one axis and at least one guide carriage movable on the guide rail in the direction of the axis. The guide carriage runs on the guide rail with intermediacy of an endless rolling-element circuit. To this end, the guide carriage is designed with a guide carriage housing and with a carriage member made separately from the guide carriage housing and accommodated within the guide carriage housing. The guide carriage housing comprises at least one side panel adjacent to the rolling-element circuit and substantially parallel to the axial direction, as well as at least one end plate adjacent to the rolling-element circuit and substantially orthogonal to the axial direction. The bearing row of rolling elements runs on the carriage member.

Linear guiding apparatus for guiding an object

In a rolling bearing for linear movements, two rolling member circuits arranged between one arm of a U-shaped guide carriage and a lateral face of a guide rail, are substantially perpendicular to one another with their force transmission planes and are substantially parallel to one another with their circuit planes. All rollers have parallel axes in each of the two roller circuits. The load-transmitting row of rollers and the return row of rollers are offset from one another in the axial direction of the rollers in both roller circuits.

A linear ball bush comprises a cage having a cage axis and a plurality of ball circuits, at least one ball circuit comprising two straight ball rows substantially parallel to the cage axis and two curved ball rows connecting the two straight ball rows, and a plurality of runner plates which each provide for the guidance of the ball circuit. The runner plates comprise straight track sections continued with substantially constant profile over their entire length, and between these a middle rib which is continued to each of the runner plate ends with substantially constant profile. The curved track sections connect the straight track sections and pass transversely through the middle rib.

An anti-friction bearing for linear movements comprising a bearing body (10) which is guided movable on a rail (12) in a longitudinal direction thereof. The bearing body has legs (18a, b) accommodating at least one part of the rail (12) between them and a web (20) connecting these legs (18a, b) in one piece. At least one rolling body cycle (A-D) allocated to each of the legs (18a, b) has one load-transmitting rolling body row (A1-D1) in engagement with one load-receiving running path (B13, D13) of the respective leg (18a, b) and with one running path (A12-D12) at one side face of the rail (12) said side face being adjacent to said leg (18a, b). The load-transmitting rolling body rows (A1-D1) are preloadable between the respective allocated paths (B13, D13; A12-D12) and this preload is adjustable by preloading means (30). The preloading means (30) are disposed in the range of the web (20) with a direction of effect substantially normal to the longitudinal direction of the rail (12) and substantially parallel to a connecting plane (VE1, VE2) of the two load-transmitting rolling body rows (A1-D1) lying at either side of the rail (12), and which are designed to upset the web (20) in this direction of effect.

In a linear ball bush of part-annular form it is proposed that part-annular seals are secured against rotation about the cage axis by shape-locking engagement with a cage and are movable radially in relation to the cage axis over their substantially entire circumferential extent. Further it is proposed that longitudinal seal strips each comprise a root part received by a longitudinal groove of the cage and a tongue part resting on the shaft, these longitudinal sealing strips being provided with projections at their ends which rest under a longitudinal tension against an axially directed support shoulder of the cage.

The invention proposes a linear guidance unit in which a guide rail is mounted at the bottom of a U-shaped guide housing, a traveller being guided by means of endless ball races to move on this guide rail.

A linear ball-bearing device for guiding an object along a cylindrical shaft including comprising a bearing block having a contact surface for contacting the object and having a plurality of ball loops, each ball loop comprising radially inner and radially outer ball rows interconnected by curved ball deflection rows, the radially inner ball rows being supported radially outwardly on axially extending load-carrying surfaces which are provided on a cylindrical inner surface of the bearing block, the radially outer ball rows running in return channels in the bearing block and the deflection-curve ball rows being guided by concave semi-circular grooves which are arranged on a cage sub-assembly, the cage sub-assembly having hook flanges each of which has an axially inwardly directed hook end surface engaging an axially outwardly directed channel aperture surface of the respective return chamber, each hook flange also having an outer peripheral surface for engagement with an inner peripheral surface of the bearing block, the load-carrying surfaces, the return channels, the inner peripheral surfaces and the channel aperture surfaces being integrally formed on the material of the bearing block.

In a screw drive, in particular a ball screw drive, a double nut, formed of a pair of individual nuts, is tightened on a threaded spindle and the individual nuts are secured together against relative rotation by a locking member. The locking member is secured within a radially extending recess formed in and bridging the individual nuts. The locking member can be inserted with a certain amount of play into the recess or borehole and then secured within the recess by a cement or similar material so that it cannot be displaced. Various types of locking members can be used, such as locking bolts or threaded bolts. When the locking member is connected into the recess or ball it prevents any rotation of the individual nuts relative to one another.

A spindle drive assembly includes a spindle and a spindle nut defining a helical ball duct therebetween through which a plurality of recirculating balls may pass during relative rotation between the spindle and the spindle nut to effect transmission of axial forces therebetween. A helical internal ball guide formed on the spindle nut and defining one side of the helical ball duct is formed with at least one compensating slot which extends to the walls of the helical internal guide in order to effect circumferential division of the spindle nut to enable the spindle nut to radially adapt to compression forces applied by the clamping device extending about the spindle nut to provide radial compression maintaining the balls in operative load-bearing engagement within the helical duct. The slot is formed with a width taken circumferentially of the spindle nut which is not greater than 15% of the diameter of the recirculating balls, and preferably not greater than 10% of the ball diameter.

In a ball screw and nut drive device, a helical ball spindle or channel is formed in the inner surface of a nut body and the outer surface of a screw. Balls are circulated through the helical ball channel being returned from one end to the other of the channel by deflecting channels and a return channel. Each deflecting channel is formed in part by a deflecting member fitted into a recess formed in the inner surface of the nut body. The deflecting member includes a projection for lifting balls out of the helical ball channel into the deflecting channel. The deflecting channel has a rectilinear part which can receive balls from the helical ball channel and a curved part connecting the rectilinear part with the return channel. The deflecting channel in the deflecting member is open along its length and the balls passing therethrough contact a wall in the recess formed in the nut body.

A bearing assembly operatively interposed between a shaft and a housing having said shaft axially movably mounted therein for torque transmission therebetween includes a ball bushing inserted into a bushing receiving bore in the housing and guided through ball rings in ball races, with at least one of said ball rings being a load-transmitting ring including a load-transmitting ball ring section which rests radially inwardly against the shaft and radially outwardly against an external support surface defined by the ball bushing. The load bearing ball ring section of the at least one ball ring engages a race groove in the shaft on the shaft side of the ball ring and it engages a race groove of a bearing plate mounted in the ball bushing on the ball bushing side of the ball ring in a manner to transmit torque therebetween. The bearing plate may be pressed radially inwardly by means of a clamping device which presses against the ball bushing through contact surfaces which are oriented to intersect resultant planes generated by torque transmitting forces transmitted through the torque transmitting ball ring which are parallel to the bushing axis at an angle to insure a self-locking action.

A spindle and a spindle nut having external and internal threads, respectively, formed thereon and circulating balls operatively engaged between said threads operating to effect transmission of forces axially thereof when the spindle and spindle nut are rotated relative to each other. The balls are circulated through ball ducts formed by the threads and by the circulating means which return the balls from ball duct outlets of the threads to ball duct inlets thereof. Compensating means for enabling adjustment of the operating pressure between the spindle and the spindle nut by adjusting the diameter of the spindle nut enable compensation of the degree of play which is developed between the balls and the ball ducts through which the balls are circulated. In one aspect of the invention, the spindle nut is formed with a longitudinal slit thereby enabling adjustment of the diameter of the spindle nut and of the pressure by which it is engaged about the spindle.

An axially elongated ball bushing is inserted into a bore in a housing. The ball bushing includes an axially elongated cage having a plurality of ball loops each extending in the axial direction of the cage and containing a number of balls located in a loaded ball duct and an unloaded ball duct of the loop. Each loaded ball duct is open through the radially inner and outer surfaces of the cage. The ducts of the loops are arranged so that, in each loop, its loaded ball duct is adjacent the loaded ball duct in one adjacent loop and its unloaded ball duct is adjacent the unloaded ball duct in the other adjacent loop. A joint race insert formed of a thin hardened sheet steel bridges each pair of adjacent loaded ball ducts and the race portions of the inserts are bent radially outwardly against the surface of the bore by the loaded balls, however, the inserts do not yield in the thickness direction.
