A process for producing a support belt for an elevator system includes steps of: placing at least one cable-shaped tension support in position; embedding the tension support in a first belt layer made from a first plasticizable material to produce a partial belt having a first outer surface and a surface which forms a connecting plane, wherein parts of the tension support project out of the connecting plane and at least parts of the projecting portion of the tension support are covered by the first plasticizable material; and integrally forming a second belt layer made from a second plasticizable material on the connecting surface of the partial belt and the projecting portions of the tension support so as to produce a support belt having the first outer surface on the side of the first belt layer and a second outer surface on the side of the second belt layer.

Method and device for producing a support belt for an elevator installation

An elevator installation is provided that includes an elevator cage, a drive pulley, at least one support means formed as a flat belt, and a drive engine which drives the at least one support means, which carries the elevator cage, by way of the drive pulley. In the elevator installation, the support means has, at least on a running surface facing the drive pulley, several ribs of wedge-shaped or trapezium-shaped cross-section which extend parallel in a longitudinal direction of the support means and further has several tensile carriers oriented in the longitudinal direction of the support means. The tensile carriers are sized so that a total cross-sectional area of all the tensile carriers amounts to 30%-40% of a cross-sectional area of the support means. The tensile carriers may be distributed in a transverse direction of the support means so that exactly two tensile carriers are associated with each of the ribs, the tensile carriers having an outer diameter equal to 35%-40% of a rib spacing (T).

In an elevator element for driving or reversing an elevator suspension device in an elevator system, that interacts with an elevator suspension device, the arithmetic mean of the roughness value of the contact surface measured in the circumferential direction of the elevator element, and the mean roughness value of the contact surface measured in the axial direction of the elevator element, are different. The arithmetic mean roughness value of the contact surface measured in the circumferential direction of the elevator element is less than 1 micrometer.

The invention relates to a lift system wherein a drive unit () drives, by means of a driving disk (), a flat belt-type carrier means () which carries the lift cage (). Said flat belt-type carrier means comprises several ribs () which extend in a parallel manner in a longitudinal direction of the carrier means on a bearing surface which is orientated towards the driving disk () and each rib comprises at least two traction carriers () which are orientated in a longitudinal direction of the carrier means. The whole cross-sectional surface of all the traction carriers () is at least 25% of the cross-section surface of the carrier means.

A belt end connection for fastening a support belt end in an elevator installation and a method for protecting and checking a belt end connection in an elevator installation includes a twisting prevention device that prevents twisting of the belt end connection about the longitudinal axis thereof. A wedge retains the support belt end in a wedge pocket and is secured by a loss prevention device against slipping out of the wedge pocket. The twisting prevention device and/or the loss prevention enable efficient protection of the support belt and/or of the belt end connection against damage and make possible efficient checking and control of the belt end connection.

An elevator belt for an elevator installation includes a belt body in which a tensile carrier arrangement with several tensile carriers for transmission of a tension force in a longitudinal direction of the elevator belt is arranged. A profile body which spaces these tensile carriers from one another is arranged between adjacent tensile carriers of the tensile carrier arrangement.
