Spring seat vibration damper apparatus for use with fluid pressure regulators are disclosed. A disclosed apparatus includes a first spring seat of a fluid pressure regulator defining a first protrusion and a second spring seat of the fluid pressure regulator defining a second protrusion. The second protrusion is configured to receive at least a portion of the first protrusion. The first spring seat moves relative to the second spring seat to provide a damping effect between the protrusions.

Spring seat vibration damper apparatus for use with pressure regulators

A regulator includes a body, a first cage positioned in the body, a diaphragm positioned within the body, and a second cage operatively connected to the diaphragm. The body has an inlet, an outlet, and a passage formed between the inlet and the outlet and the first cage is positioned adjacent the passage. The second cage moves with the diaphragm and is positionable on a first side of the diaphragm, opposite the first cage, or on a second side of the diaphragm such that the second cage is positioned within the first cage and is movable relative to the first cage.

Apparatus to interface with a corrugated profile are disclosed. An example apparatus for use with a fluid regulator includes an elastomeric ring having a corrugated profile that corresponds to a corrugated profile of a diaphragm of the fluid regulator. The elastomeric ring is to be positioned between a valve body and a bonnet of the fluid regulator to clamp the diaphragm between the valve body and the bonnet. The example apparatus includes a metallic ring positioned between the valve body and the bonnet to contact the elastomeric ring to support the elastomeric ring.

Apparatus to interface with a corrugated diaphragm

Cam apparatus for use with valves are disclosed. An example apparatus includes a cam having a cam surface to engage a valve stem, a first portion of the cam surface to engage the valve stem in a closed position, a second portion of the cam surface to engage the valve stem in an open position, and a third portion of the cam surface adjacent the first portion and defining a curved profile. The third portion is to engage the valve stem when the cam is rotated to a first intermediate position between the closed position and the open position. The example apparatus also includes a fourth portion of the cam surface between the second portion and the third portion and defining a linear profile. The fourth portion is to engage the valve stem surface as the cam rotates between the first intermediate position and the open position.

Cam apparatus for use with valves

Apparatus to interface with a corrugated profile are disclosed. An example apparatus for use with a fluid regulator includes an elastomeric ring having a corrugated profile that corresponds to a corrugated profile of a diaphragm of the fluid regulator. The elastomeric ring is to be positioned between a valve body and a bonnet of the fluid regulator to clamp the diaphragm between the valve body and the bonnet. A metallic ring positioned between the valve body and the bonnet engages the elastomeric ring to support the elastomeric ring.

Corrugated diaphragm apparatus for improved cycle life of a diaphragm are described herein. One described example apparatus includes a valve body having an inlet and an outlet to allow fluid to flow therethrough, a backing plate disposed within a bonnet and coupled to the valve body, and first and second diaphragms. Each diaphragm has a corrugated profile and is in a stacked configuration. The diaphragms are operatively coupled to the backing plate and each of the diaphragms is clamped between the valve body and the bonnet proximate a peripheral edge of the diaphragm.

Fluid regulators having corrugated diaphragms

A process fluid regulator includes a regulator body having a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet connected by a fluid flow path. A control element is disposed within the fluid flow path, the control element cooperating with a seat to control fluid flow through the regulator body. An actuator is attached to the regulator body, the actuator providing force to move the control element relative to the seat. The actuator includes a housing and a diaphragm within the housing, the diaphragm dividing the actuator housing into an upper chamber and a lower chamber. A high pressure bleed valve is attached to the lower chamber to vent residual gas from the lower chamber, which creates additional volume for process liquid in the lower chamber. This additional volume improves effectiveness and response time of the process fluid regulator.
