A process for removing tin from seasoned photographic color developers containing tin as stannous or stannate complex ions, comprising the steps of: (a) collecting seasoned photographic color developer containing tin; (b) treating the collected developer with a resin having a chelating group selected from the group consisting of diphosphonic acid, amidoxime and thiol, thereby removing tin from the composition.

Silver is recovered from a mixture of seasoned photoprocessing solutions by contacting the solutions with a mercapto-s-triazine or water-soluble salt thereof, the mercapto-s-triazine having the formula ##STR1## wherein: R is hydrogen, --NH.sub.4, --OH, alkyl having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, alkoxy having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, phenyl, cyclohexyl, oxazinyl, phenoxy, --NR'.sub.2 or SR'; wherein

Process for recovering silver from photographic solutions

Anions containing sulfur and oxygen, e.g. thiosulfate, can be catalytically reduced using a protonated anion ion exchange resin as a catalyst. The process is preferably conducted in an aqueous system and at a pH below about 8.
