The invention relates to a method of performing operating settings in a heart rate measurement arrangement, and a heart rate measurement arrangement. Audio frequency information is transmitted to the heart rate measurement arrangement by wireless transmission. The audio frequency information contains setting value information intended to be used in the operation of the heart rate measurement arrangement. In the heart rate measurement arrangement, decoding is performed to decode the received audio frequency information so that the setting value information can be used to control the operation thereof.

The invention relates to a measuring device ( ) carried by a user during exercise for measuring non-invasively at least one signal from the body, e.g. a wireless heart rate monitor, and to a method of controlling same. The measuring device comprises a user interface ( ). The user interface comprises selection means ( ), e.g. push buttons ( ), and display means ( ), e.g. a liquid crystal display. The user interface ( ) displays different operating modes, e.g., a watch mode ( ), a set mode ( ) and an operating mode ( ) for measuring a signal from the body. The operating modes have different sub-operating modes for displaying parameter associated with exercising. In accordance with the invention, the user is shown specified operating modes and sub-operating modes. There is also a special help operating mode, which, when being switched on, allows each selection means available in said operating mode or sub-operating mode to be indicated to the user by automatic stepping, and the function to be performed by selecting said selection means to be specified.

Non-invasive measuring device with different operating modes

The invention relates to a method and system for measuring heartbeat rate using telemetric data transmission. In the method, a heartbeat rate signal is measured from the object to be measured by using a telemetric transmitter unit which detects the signals. The heartbeat data is transmitted by inductive coupling to a telemetric receiver unit, and stored in a memory means within the receiver unit, and transferred by inductive coupling from the receiver unit to a data transfer unit, and transferred from the data transfer unit to a data processing unit. According to the invention, telemetric data transfer is also carried out from the data transfer unit to the receiver unit, and that data transfer in this direction is carried out by supplying one or more setting parameters from the data processing unit prior to the actual heartbeat measurement. These parameters are transferred via the data transfer unit to the receiver unit by inductive coupling between the data transfer unit and the receiver unit.

Method and system for measuring heartbeat rate using telemetric data

The invention relates to a wireless switch for a telemetric receiver in a pulse meter, comprising a switch (7) for detecting the intensity of a telemetric signal received in the telemetric receiver and actuating the desired function of the pulse meter when the signal exceeds a predetermined threshold value. In the invention, the inductance (L1) by which the receiver establishes an inductive coupling with a transmitter in telemetric pulse measuring is used as a detector in the switch (7) for detecting the intensity of the telemetric signal.
