An implantable medical device (IMD) may include a fixation module, and a device module that is configured to be releasably connected to the fixation module. The device module may have a proximal end and a distal end, and may include a power source and a controller that is operably coupled to the power source. The controller may be configured to sense cardiac electrical activity via two or more electrodes and/or deliver pacing pulses via two or more electrodes. The device module may include a first part of a releasable connector while the fixation module may include a second part of the releasable connector, wherein the first part of the releasable connector and the second part of the releasable connector cooperate to releasably connect the device module with the fixation module.

Leadless implantable device with detachable fixation

An electronics module for use in an Implantable Medical Device (IMD) may include a plurality of electrical components connected to form a circuit that includes a terminal and a potting material that supports the plurality of electrical components. The plurality of electrical components and the potting material together form a circuit sub-module in which the terminal is accessible from outside of the circuit sub-module. A metallic layer that conforms to an outer surface of the circuit sub-module is provided thereon such that the terminal is accessible from outside of the metallic layer.

Leadless device with overmolded components

The various embodiments disclosed herein relate to medical electrical leads. More specifically, certain embodiments relate to leads having one or more drug-eluting components that are overmolded or otherwise positioned on the lead. Other embodiments relate to leads having one or more patterned surfaces, including some leads with one or more patterned surfaces over which one or more drug-eluting components are positioned. Further implementations relate to leads having one or more overmolded patterned surfaces, including some embodiments in which the overmolded surfaces contain at least one drug-eluting component.
