A computer programmed to provide investing services is provided. Through a first computer device user interface, the computer receives first data from the user indicating the user's expected retirement spend in a plurality of spending categories at a first level of detail and stores the data at a data location. Through a second computer device user interface, the computer receives identifier data indicating the user and retrieves the first data from the data location. The first data is supplemented by second data indicating the user's expected retirement spend in the plurality of spending categories at a more detailed second level of detail. A target asset level necessary for the user to fund a retirement considering expected retirement spend for the plurality of spending categories is determined considering the first and second data. The target asset level is displayed to the user.

Investor retirement lifestyle planning tool

A method for providing investing services is provided. Through a first computer device user interface, a computer system receives first data from the user indicating the user's expected retirement spend in a plurality of spending categories at a first level of detail and stores the data at a data location. Through a second computer device user interface, the computer system receives identifier data indicating the user and retrieves the first data from the data location. The first data is supplemented by second data indicating the user's expected retirement spend in the plurality of spending categories at a more detailed second level of detail. A target asset level necessary for the user to fund a retirement considering expected retirement spend for the plurality of spending categories is determined considering the first and second data. The target asset level is displayed to the user.

Various embodiments are directed to methods for marketing investment services. The methods may comprise receiving at least one signal from a position detector indicating a position of a viewer relative to a display screen in a first axis and a perpendicular distance of the viewer from the display screen. The display screen may be aligned along the first axis and a second axis. The methods may also comprise displaying with the display screen a user interface. The user interface may comprise an age scale aligned with the first axis, an asset scale aligned with a second axis and a chart of assets versus age. Upon determining that the perpendicular distance of the viewer from the display screen is less than a predetermined value, the methods may comprise modifying the interface to display an element at a first position on the age scale corresponding to a position of the viewer relative to the display screen in the first axis. The element may comprise information describing at least one of an investment-related event occurring at the first position on the age scale and an investment-related service related to the first position on the age scale.

Investment management marketing tool

An apparatus for marketing investment services comprising a display screen aligned along a vertical axis and a horizontal axis, a position detector, and a computer device. The computer device may receive at least one signal from the position detector indicating a position of a viewer relative to the display screen in the horizontal axis and a perpendicular distance of the viewer from the display screen; cause the display screen to display a user interface. The user interface may comprise an age scale aligned with the horizontal axis, an asset scale aligned with the vertical axis and a chart of assets versus age. Upon determining that the perpendicular distance of the viewer from the display screen is less than a predetermined value, the computer device modify the interface to display an element at a first position on the age scale corresponding to a position of the viewer relative to the display screen in the horizontal axis.

The user interface may also comprise first and second slider bars corresponding to the respective axes. The slider bars may be movable in response to a signal from a first input device in communication with the computer system. The computer system may be further programmed to receive from the user, via the user interface, an indication of a user position on the first and second axes; and store first data describing the user position on the first and second axis in association with an identifier of the user.
