A ring network having a plurality of nodes connected by a working channel and a protection channel. When no failure exists, the working channel and the protection channel are link-aggregated into one virtual channel, and the transmission of the working traffic is carried out using both channels. When failure occurred to a line of the network, the link aggregation is suspended and a protection function in conjunction with the link aggregation is activated, in which a path avoiding the failure point is established by means of layer 1 protection process and thereafter data transmission is carried out by use of the path established by the layer 1 protection function. Therefore, data transmission in the no failure stated can be conduced using a bandwidth of twice as large as that of convention ring networks.

Protection system, layer 2 function block, node and ring network enabling wideband transmission of working traffic and protection of protection channel traffic

A protection system, a virtual concatenation processing block, a node and a ring network, in which bands of ring network system are effectively utilized when no failure occurs on the network, and all data can be transmitted to destinations using an LCAS function even when failure occurs. When no failure occurs on the network, a working channel and a protection channel are treated as a continuous band by the LCAS function and working traffic is transmitted using the band by a virtual concatenation function. When failure occurs on the network, the channels of paths prepared by cooperating a layerprotection function and the LCAS function to avoid a troubled part are used for data transmission, and the working traffic is transmitted through the band by the virtual concatenation function.

An aqueous zinc nitrite solution which contains substantially no calcium (Ca) ions is provided, in which, in terms of the aqueous zinc nitrite [Zn(NO)] solution having an NOconcentration of 10% by weight, the sodium (Na) ion concentration is 200 to 2000 ppm and the sulfate (SO) ion concentration is 20 ppm or less in the solution. The aqueous zinc nitrite solution can be prepared by providing a zinc compound and an alkali nitrite as raw materials and subjecting the raw materials to electrolytic synthesis through a double decomposition reaction using an ion-exchange membrane as a diaphragm. As the aqueous zinc nitrite solution is provided, an extremely efficient metal surface treatment is made possible which has a reduced amount of sodium ions. In particular, it contains substantially no sulfate ions and no calcium ions.
