A wireless device () is configured for dual mode V2X communications over multiple short range radio interfaces. The wireless device () is configured to transmit ITS messages over a first short range radio interface configured to operate according to a first communication standard (e.g. PC5 or IEEE 802.11p), and to receive ITS messages over both the first short range radio interface and a second short radio interface configured to operate according to a second communication standard. Implementing the transmitter chain of only one technology, either PC5 or IEEE 802.11p, at each wireless device () reduces complexity and mitigates co-channel and adjacent channel interference that is caused by uncoordinated and concurrent transmissions of different technologies from the same wireless device. Implementing receiver chains for both PC5 and 802.11p allows the wireless device () to receive signals in the ITS frequency band regardless of which technology the transmitting device is using.

Dual mode vehicle to vehicle communications

There are provided mechanisms for sharing channels in a wireless communications system among wireless devices that use a plurality of different access technologies. First and second wireless devices are operable to share a channel in the wireless communication system with each other. The first wireless device is operable to provide an indication to the second wireless device that the first wireless device is using a first access technology to access the channel. The second wireless device is operable to receive the indication and determine, based on the indication, that the first wireless device is using a first access technology to access the channel. Accordingly, the second wireless device can determine, based on compatibility of its access technology with that of the first wireless device, whether to refrain from using the channel or to share the channel.

Co-channel co-existence in a wireless communications system

This disclosure pertains to a method for operating a terminal () in a wireless communication network. The method comprises performing a Listen-Before-Talk, LBT, procedure on at least one LBT communication link of a set of LBT communication links, wherein performing the LBT procedure is based on 475 information received by the terminal (), the received information pertaining to operational conditions of the LBT communication links of the set of LBT communications links. Cooperation between nodes operating in licensed and unlicensed spectrum for channel access in unlicensed spectrum

A UE transmits a radio access capability to a base station. The radio access capability is transmitted via an information element that comprises a bitmap in which a bit has a value that indicates, to the base station, support of a modification to at least one of a maximum power reduction or a spectrum emission requirement. According to embodiments, the base station manages the UE based on the supported modification. Such managing of the UE may include, for example, one or more of admission control, imposing scheduling restrictions, and imposing handover restrictions.

Release-independent modifications of network parameters

According to some embodiments of inventive concepts, a method may be provided to operate a UE providing sidelink communications with other wireless devices. The method may include scheduling a first transmission from the UE, wherein the first transmission has a first priority. The method may also include scheduling a second transmission from the UE, wherein the second transmission has a second priority, wherein the first priority is greater than the second priority, and wherein the first and second transmissions are scheduled for transmission during a time interval. The method may further include transmitting the first transmission during the time interval, and responsive to determining a violation of a timing limit corresponding to scheduling the first and second transmissions during the time interval and responsive to the first priority being greater than the second priority, dropping transmitting the second transmission during the time interval.

Methods of scheduling transmissions using timing limits and related wireless communication devices

Network nodes and methods therein for enabling use, in a cell, of different types of mobile terminals. A method in a network node () associated with the cell comprises supporting (), at least part of, at least two frequency bands having a respective predefined frequency band indicator in said cell. The method further comprises signaling () information associated with said at least two frequency bands to UEs in the cell, thus enabling use of UEs operating in a respective different one of said at least two frequency bands in the cell.

Signaling for legacy terminal operation in harmonized bands

A method for selecting carrier aggregation (CA) configurations includes determining whether a first wireless device is operating or expected to operate using a single carrier configuration on a cell associated with a first frequency band. Methods, a wireless device and a radio network node in a wireless communication system

The present disclosure relates to a method for managing inter-system interference performed by a network element () in a victim cellular communication system () comprising a serving cell () serving a victim radio device (A). The method comprises determining that the downlink (DL) reception quality of signals from the serving cell at the victim radio device is below a predetermined first threshold, implying poor DL radio signal quality. The method also comprises determining that the DL signal strength of signals from the serving cell at the victim radio device is above a predetermined second threshold, implying that the poor DL radio signal quality is due to either intra-system interference from DL signaling within said victim system, or to inter-system interference from UL signaling in an aggressor system. If the victim cellular communication system comprises at least one neighboring cell (), then the method also comprises determining that the DL signal strength of signals from said at least one neighboring cell is below a predetermined third threshold at the victim radio device. The method then comprises determining that the poor DL radio signal quality is due to radio interference from uplink (UL) signaling in an aggressor cell () comprised in an aggressor cellular communication system (). The method also comprises applying interference resolution for mitigating the inter-system interference from the aggressor cell ().

Method and arrangement in a telecommunication system

Systems and methods relating to configuring a Secondary Component Carrier (SCC) for a wireless device in a cellular communications network are disclosed. In some embodiments, the method comprises obtaining capabilities of the wireless device, where the capabilities indicate a frequency band combination supported by the wireless device. The frequency band combination supported by the wireless device includes a first frequency band supported by a base station and the wireless device used for a Primary Cell (PCell) of the wireless device and a second frequency band supported by the wireless device but not supported by the base station.
