The invention relates to a photographic element comprising at least one emulsion layer comprising coupler and silver halide grains, adjacent to said at least one emulsion layer a color enhancer layer comprising the same coupler as in said at least one coupler layer and adjacent to said color enhancer layer a Dox scavenging layer.

The invention provides a photographic element comprising a paper substrate with a polyolefin coating provided on at least one surface, a hydrophilic colloid layer on the polyolefin coating, and at least one light sensitive silver halide emulsion above the hydrophilic colloid layer, wherein said hydrophilic colloid layer comprises a removable antihalation material and from about 20 to 80 percent by weight of a white pigment, and from about 15 to 35 percent by weight of hollow microspheres having a diameter of from about 0.1 to about 1 um.

A photographic element comprising a paper substrate said paper substrate comprises wood fiber and polyvinyl alcohol polymer located in heavier concentration near the surface of said paper with a polyolefin coating provided on at least one surface, a hydrophilic colloid layer on the polyolefin coating and a light sensitive silver halide emulsion on the hydrophilic colloid layer, said hydrophilic colloid layer comprising from about 20 to 80 percent by weight of a white pigment, and from about 15 to 35 percent by weight of hollow microspheres having a diameter of from about 0.1 to about 1 .mu.m.
