A downhole tool includes a tubular having an outer surface and an inner surface defining a flowbore having a longitudinal axis, and a backpressure valve arranged in the flowbore. The backpressure valve includes a flapper valve having a first side and an opposing second side pivotally mounted to the inner surface to selectively extend across the flowbore and a locking system mounted to the inner surface in the flowbore and snap-fittingly engageable with the flapper valve. The flapper valve is pivotable between a first position, wherein the flapper valve is free to pivot relative to the inner surface, and a second position, wherein the flapper valve is pivoted away from the flowbore and locked open by the locking system such that the first side forms part of the flowbore.

A downhole tool includes a tubular having an outer surface and an inner surface defining a flowbore having a longitudinal axis, and a backpressure valve arranged in the flowbore. The backpressure valve includes a flapper valve including a first side and an opposing second side pivotally mounted to the inner surface to selectively extend across the flowbore, and a locking system mounted to the inner surface in the flowbore and selectively engageable with the flapper valve. The flapper valve is pivotable between a first position, wherein the flapper valve is free to pivot relative to the inner surface, and a second position, wherein the flapper valve is pivoted away from the flowbore and locked open by the locking system such that the first side forms part of the flowbore.

A downhole tool includes a tubular having an outer surface and an inner surface defining a flowbore having a longitudinal axis and a backpressure valve arranged in the flowbore. The backpressure valve includes a flapper valve including a hinge end, a cantilevered end, a first side and an opposing second side pivotally mounted to the inner surface at the hinge end to selectively extend across the flowbore, and a locking system mounted to the inner surface adjacent to the hinge end of the flapper valve in the flowbore. The flapper valve is pivotable between a first position, wherein the flapper valve is free to pivot relative to the inner surface between an open configuration and a closed configuration, and a second position, wherein the hinge end of the flapper valve activates the locking system to lock the flapper valve in the open configuration.

A downhole tool includes a tubular having an outer surface and an inner surface defining a flowbore having a longitudinal axis. A backpressure valve is arranged in the flowbore. The backpressure valve includes a flapper valve including a first side and an opposing second side pivotally mounted to the inner surface to selectively extend across the flowbore and a locking system including a spring clip mounted to the inner surface. The flapper valve is pivotable between a first position, wherein the flapper valve is free to pivot relative to the inner surface, and a second position, wherein the flapper valve is pivoted away from the flowbore and locked open by the spring clip such that the first side forms part of the flowbore.

A milling and scraping tool for preparing a borehole to be plugged includes a tool body including a first end, a second end, and an intermediate portion extending therebetween and a milling system arranged between the first end and the second end. The milling system includes one or more selectively deployable milling blades. The one or more selectively deployable milling blades is shiftable between a retracted position and a deployed position. The scraping system includes a plurality of selectively deployable scraping blades selectively deployable from a retracted position to a deployed position.

A cut and pull spear is configured to obtain multiple grips in a tubular to be cut under tension. The slips are set mechanically with the aid of drag blocks to hold a portion of the assembly while a mandrel is manipulated. An annular seal is set in conjunction with the slips to provide well control during the cut. An internal bypass around the seal can be in the open position to allow circulation during the cut. The bypass can be closed to control a well kick with mechanical manipulation as the seal remains set. If the tubular will not release after an initial cut, the spear can be triggered to release and be reset at another location. The mandrel is open to circulation while the slips and seal are set and the cut is being made. Cuttings are filtered before entering the bypass to keep the cuttings out of the blowout preventers.
