Dermatological treatments and systems employing cooling, topicals, and/or abrasion are disclosed herein. The system can include a cold plate and a suspension assembly tip. The suspension assembly tip can be selectively coupleable to the cold plate. The suspension assembly tip can include a suspension tip and a suspension. The suspension tip can include a contact surface that can be contacted onto a patient's skin to provide a treatment. The suspension can couple to both the cold plate and to the suspension tip. The suspension can be thermally conductive so as to closely thermally couple the suspension tip to the cold plate, or the suspension tip can have a low thermal conductivity so as to not closely thermally coupled the suspension tip to the cold plate.

Dermatological treatments and systems employing cooling, topicals, and/or abrasion

The present is directed to improved systems, methods, and devices for providing skin cooling treatment. The skin cooling treatment system can include a mechanical arm and a cryospray applicator coupled to a distal end of the mechanical arm. The skin cooling treatment system can include a processor that can receive imagery of a portion of skin of a patient for receiving a skin cooling treatment and automatically identify boundaries from the received imagery to designate portions of the skin of the patient for receiving the skin cooling treatment. The processor can determine an instantaneous treatment footprint and can generate a treatment path based on the treatment footprint. The processor can control the cryospray applicator to deliver the skin cooling treatment to the skin according to the treatment path.

Automated dermatological cryospray treatment planning system

The present is directed to improved systems and methods for skin cooling treatments. A skin cooling treatment system can include a mechanical arm that can have a proximal end and an distal end. The system can include a processor that can control the mechanical arm, and a cryospray applicator. The cryospray applicator can be coupled to the distal end of the mechanical arm and can be moveable by the mechanical arm to deliver a spray of cryogen to a portion of an area of skin tissue for treatment. The cryospray applicator can include an array of orifices through which the cryogen can be sprayed.

Automated control and positioning systems for dermatological cryospray devices

The present invention is directed to improved systems, devices, and methods for delivery of a cryogen to the skin of a patient for skin treatment. A cryospray device configured to deliver a cryogen to a patient's skin can include an applicator, a supply channel, and a nozzle assembly. The applicator can include a head portion, and the supply channel can extend through at least a portion of the head portion. The nozzle assembly can be coupled to the head portion and can be fluidly coupled to the supply channel. The nozzle assembly can include a linear array of orifices that are configured to direct a planar spray of the cryogen to cool an area of a skin tissue of the patient in a linear cooling treatment.

Dermatological cryospray devices having linear array of nozzles and methods of use

The present invention generally relates to improved medical devices, systems, and methods, with exemplary embodiments providing improved cooling treatment probes and cooling treatment methods and systems. In some embodiments, freezing of the skin may be desirable to effect the hypopigmentation of the skin of the patient. Generally, embodiments may limit supercooling of the skin of the patient during a cooling treatment. Additionally, embodiments may limit adverse side effects such as hyperpigmentation. It has been found that the freezing behavior (frequency and time to freeze) can be modified by adjusting the thermal parameters of the cooling applicator. Accordingly, in some aspects of the invention, a method of treating the skin may be provided where the thermal parameters of the cooling applicator are adjusted during treatment.

Apparatus and method for multi configuration near eye display performance characterization

A system and method for measuring the photometric retroreflectivity of materials. The system comprises a light source and a first optical pathway along which an illumination light beam travels originating from the light source, and ending at a retroreflective surface to be measured. A second optical pathway is provided along which a retroreflected beam travels back from the retroreflective surface to an aperture array that selects multiple annular areas to be further directed to multiple detectors, one detector for each annular area selected by the aperture. Each detector has a filter for the determination of photometric retroreflectivity. The retroreflected light reaching the detectors produces currents proportion to the intensity of the light. A high-gain current-to-voltage amplifier is used to provide voltage signal to an analog-to-digital converter that converts a voltage to a digital number. A processor is electrically coupled to the analog-to-digital converter with an accompanying memory on which is stored operating logic adapted to determine the photometric intensity of a predetermined pattern of the retroreflected beam incident to the array of apertures and detectors which defines the retroreflected light which propagates from the retroreflective surface at a predetermined observation angle.

An illuminated controller for a musical control channel, having: a light transmitting body; a mounting system holding a bottom end of the light transmitting body such that the light transmitting body can be positioned at different angular positions; a handle at a top end of the light transmitting body; at least one light source positioned to illuminate the light transmitting body; and an actuator connected to the mounting system, wherein the actuator translates the angular position of the light transmitting body into a signal for controlling a musical control channel.

In the present invention, a lighting controller is provided to provide illumination based upon the playing of musical instruments. The lighting controller is programmed with lighting profiles which control the lights on a device. When musical instrument is played, a note (event) is detected by a transducer and based upon which event has been detected, a signal is sent to the lighting controller to determine which lighting profile to send to the device. Upon determining the proper lighting profile. a signal is sent from the lighting controller to the device causing the device to illuminate.

The second metal interconnect segment is shifted closer to the optical center of the array than the first metal interconnect segment so that the second metal interconnect segment approximately aligns with a principle ray angle incident the second pixel, thereby reducing pixel light shadowing.
