A method for determining the operating point of an electric motor-driven fan in a system that includes determining the operating point of a fan when a clear correlation between the speed, the performance, and the volumetric flow rate of the fan is not possible.

Method for determining the operating point

A diffuser () for a fan () of axial, radial or diagonal type of construction, has an inlet opening () and having an outlet opening () for a gaseous medium which flows through a diffuser interior (I), which is enclosed by an outer housing (), in an axially oriented main flow direction (S) from the inlet opening () to the outlet opening (). The cross section of the diffuser interior (I) increases from the cross section () of the inlet opening to the cross section () of the outlet opening (), wherein the outer housing () forms an outer diffuser part (AD) which delimits the diffuser interior (I) to the outside. Along the main flow direction (S), the cross section of the outer diffuser part (AD) changes from a circular cross section () at the inlet opening () to a non-circular cross section () at the outlet opening ().

A motor, comprising an electronics housing having integrated motor electronics, a stator, and a rotor. The stator comprises a stator bushing and a laminated stator core having motor windings. The stator bushing is arranged axially between the electronics housing and the rotor. The motor according to the invention has an air-conveying element connected to the rotor in a rotationally fixed manner and at least one axially extending passage opening arranged in the stator bushing. The air-conveying element is arranged axially between the stator bushing and the rotor and has a circumferential axial intake opening on the side of the stator bushing. During motor operation, the air-conveying element sucks in an axial volumetric air flow at an external wall of the electronics housing through the intake opening and the passage opening.

Active cooling of a motor having an integrated cooling channel

The invention relates to an electric motor with a stator and an external rotor, comprised of a rotor bell and a rotor cover that acts as a fan wheel. The rotor bell has several apertures in its bell floor. The rotor cover has several exhaust ports. The rotor cover is shaped like a plate and consists of a plate base and an annular wall. The exhaust ports are preferably evenly distributed in the annular wall. The inside of the plate base of the rotor cover that faces the rotor bell has several radially extending interior blades that are fixedly connected to it.
