A system for transferring heat generated in an electrical enclosure includes run-in buses, a thermally conductive plate, and at least one contact assembly secured to the plate. Each pair of adjacent run-in buses is separated by a space. The plate has at least one opening extending therethrough, and the plate receives the run-in buses through the at least one opening. The at least one contact assembly has spaced apart fingers that partially cover the at least one opening of the plate, and adjacent fingers define a slot. Each of the fingers is located in a space between adjacent run-in buses, and each of the run-in buses is located in a slot when the fingers are located in the spaces between adjacent run-in buses. The run-in buses and contact assembly fingers are oriented in an interleaved pattern.

Systems and methods for transferring heat generated in an electrical enclosure

An electrical enclosure includes a main cabinet and a modular cabinet removably secured to the main cabinet. The main cabinet includes a bus compartment that includes a busbar assembly, and the bus compartment is located between an end wall of the main cabinet and a partition opposite the end wall. The modular cabinet is comprised of interlocking compartment modules. Each compartment module interlocks with an adjacent compartment module. Each compartment module includes first and second side panels. Each side panel includes an alignment member that engages an alignment member of a respective side panel of the adjacent compartment module. Each compartment module also includes a base that extends between the first and second side panels and a terminal wall that joins the first and second side panels. The terminal walls of the interlocking compartment modules engage to form a structural wall of the modular cabinet.

Operation of the first electronic safety actuator applies a force to the first link member to move the safety brake from the non-braking position to the braking position. Operation of the second electronic safety actuator applies a force to the second link member to move the safety brake from the non-braking position to the braking position.

The present disclosure relates generally to a selectively operable safety brake including a magnetic brake operably coupled to a rod and disposed adjacent to a metal component, the magnetic brake configured to move between an engaging position and a non-engaging position, said magnetic brake, when in the engaging position contemporaneously with motion of the machine, moving the rod in to thereby move the safety brake from the non-braking state into the braking state, and an electromagnetic component including a retention apparatus, the electromagnetic component configured to move the magnetic brake from the engaging position to the non-engaging position upon receipt of a resetting signal.

A safety brake actuation mechanism for a hoisted structure includes a housing operatively coupled to the hoisted structure. Also included is a first brake member coupled to the housing, the first brake member moveable between a braking position and a non-braking position. Further included is a retaining assembly moveable between a first position and a second position and engageable with the first brake member, the retaining assembly retaining the first brake member in the non-braking position in the first position and permitting the first brake member to move to the braking position in the second position. Yet further included is an electric actuator operatively coupled to the retaining assembly and biasing the retaining assembly to the first position in a powered state of the electric actuator, the retaining assembly movable to the second position in a non-powered state of the electric actuator.

An electrical enclosure includes a plurality of walls. The electrical enclosure also includes at least one compartment defined, at least in part, by the plurality of walls, and at least one ventilation opening formed in one of the plurality of walls. The at least one ventilation opening provides a flow path from the at least one compartment. At least one closure is provided on the one of the plurality of walls at the at least one ventilation opening. The at least one closure is responsive to a pressure wave to selectively close the at least one ventilation opening and re-open the at least one ventilation opening after the pressure wave has passed from the electrical enclosure.

An electrical enclosure includes a first wall having an exhaust opening, a second wall, and a third wall. The electrical enclosure also includes at least one circuit breaker compartment, a line compartment arranged between the third wall and the at least one circuit breaker compartment, and an exhaust duct extending through the electrical enclosure between the first wall and the second wall. The exhaust duct is fluidically connected to the exhaust opening and each of the at least one circuit breaker compartments. At least one passage extends between the line compartment and the at least one circuit breaker compartment through the exhaust duct. The at least one passage is substantially fluidically isolated from the exhaust duct.
