The invention relates to a method for enhanced voiceprint authentication. The method includes receiving an utterance from a user, and determining that a portion of the utterance matches a pre-determined keyword. Also, the method includes authenticating the user by comparing the portion of the utterance with a voiceprint that is associated with the pre-determined keyword. Further, the method includes identifying a resource associated with the pre-determined keyword while comparing the portion of the utterance with the voiceprint. Still yet, the method includes accessing the resource in response to authenticating the user based on the comparison.

Enhanced voiceprint authentication

Methods and apparatuses for noise management are disclosed. In one example, a method includes receiving a plurality of noise level measurements taken at a plurality of headsets. The method includes receiving a plurality of location data, including receiving a location data associated with each headset in the plurality of headsets. In one example, the method further includes adjusting an environmental parameter utilizing the noise level measurements. In one example, the method further includes providing location services to a user directing the user to a geographical area having a lower noise level.

Methods and apparatuses for user authentication are described. In one example, authenticating a user includes establishing a first wireless communication link between a headset and a first computing device and a second wireless communication link concurrent with the first wireless communication link between the headset and a second computing device. A user authentication request is received at the first computing device from a secure system. The user authentication request is transmitted from the first computing device to the headset. An authentication response is transmitted to the secure system utilizing the second computing device and the second wireless communication link.

Companion out-of-band authentication

Methods and apparatuses for enhanced user biometric authentication are described. In one example, authenticating a user includes storing user authentication pairs in a memory of an authenticator device, each authentication pair comprising an instruction prompt and a stored corresponding user response biometric to the instruction prompt. A request to authenticate a user is received at the authenticator device from an authentication requestor device. An instruction prompt is output from a selected authentication pair, and a current user response to the instruction prompt is received. A current user biometric is generated from the current user response. An identity of the user is authenticated by comparing the current user biometric to the stored corresponding user response biometric for the instruction prompt output.

A wearable device includes: a first sensor configured to provide a first sensor signal; a second sensor configured to provide a second sensor signal; and a processor configured to i) determine whether the wearable device is being worn based on the first sensor signal, and ii) calibrate the second sensor responsive to determining that the wearable device is being worn. Methods and apparatuses for interactive device operation are disclosed. In one example, a method for user device operation includes retrieving from a user device memory a user device identifying data, dialing a remote computing device having an interactive voice response (IVR) system, and transmitting the user device identifying data to the remote computing device. The method includes outputting one or more voice messages from the interactive voice response system to a user of the user device, the one or more voice messages associated with a usage of the user device. The method further includes transmitting a user action to the remote computing device made responsive to the one or more voice messages.

Methods and apparatuses for addressing open space noise are disclosed. In one example, a method for masking open space noise includes outputting a test signal from a speaker, the test signal operable to measure a speech transmission quality of a transmission channel. The method includes receiving the test signal at a microphone, outputting a detected test signal, and processing the detected test signal to determine the speech transmission quality of the transmission channel. The method further includes adjusting an output level of a noise masking signal from the speaker responsive to the speech transmission quality.

Methods and apparatuses for interactive voice response system traversal are disclosed. In one example, a user selectable dialer is created including a dial number for an interactive voice response (IVR) system and an ordered sequence of IVR response data operable to transmit to the IVR system perform a desired operation. A user selection of the user selectable dialer is received, and the dial number is automatically dialed to connect to the IVR system and the ordered sequence of IVR response data is automatically transmitted to perform the desired operation.

Methods and apparatuses for providing reminders are disclosed. In one example, reminders are shared across devices. In one example methods and apparatuses are provided which identify when a subscribing device of a plurality of subscribing devices is at or in proximity to a reminder location, and outputting the reminder message at the subscribing device.

Context sensitive and shared location based reminder

An interactive voice response method and system is described. A computerized IVR dialer signals to an IVR system that it is capable of high speed operations. The IVR system completes the high speed operations handshake with the IVR dialer. The two IVR components then continue processing of the IVR call at speeds higher than likely obtainable in a conventional IVR call, e.g., one in which the IVR dialer is performed by a human caller. The IVR system and the IVR dialer may employ a high speed IVR script that eliminates many of the instructional messages provided to human IVR callers and also eliminates or reduces the duration of pauses between the communication of information.

Interactive voice response (IVR) routing system

An IVR dialer creation method and system is described that creates new IVR dialers from recorded conversations between users and target IVR systems. An IVR dialer creation server and/or an IVR dialer application records each channel communications between a user and a target IVR system. The IVR system times target IVR system messages, and converts the times into pauses for the IVR dialer. The IVR system speech recognition determines the content of target IVR system messages. The IVR system analyzes user DTMF tones or voice responses to queries from the target IVR server. The IVR system determines which of the user responses are generic for the functional task performed and which pertain to user-specific information. The IVR system then builds the new IVR dialer from the pauses and user responses leaving open the possibility for the input of user-specific information during a later communication with the target IVR system.

System and method for creating interactive voice response (IVR) dialers

A user interface for a portable device is disclosed. The method includes a computer-implemented method for providing a user interface for interacting with a computing device, the method including the steps of: representing an indicator of an application on the computing device in a highlighted state when a user navigates to the indicator; presenting an option panel contextually related to the application when the user selects a panel key on the computing device; and running the application when the user selects an execute key on the computing device.
