Inflatable device pressure gauge

Inflatable device pressure gauge apparatus and methods are described. According to one aspect, an inflatable device pressure gauge apparatus includes a housing, an attachment mechanism configured to attach the pressure gauge apparatus to an inflatable device which comprises an air chamber which is configured to be inflated to an increased pressure above atmospheric pressure during use of the inflatable device, a pressure sensor coupled with the housing and configured to sense pressurized air from the air chamber of the inflatable device and to output a signal corresponding to an air pressure within the air chamber, a processor configured to process the signal from the pressure sensor and to control generation of a user perceptible emission regarding the air pressure of the air chamber as a result of the processing of the signal, and a power source coupled with the housing and configured to provide electrical energy to the processor.

Inflatable device pressure gauge apparatuses and methods

Light apparatuses and lighting systems are described. According to one aspect, a light apparatus includes a plurality of light sources individually configured to emit light in a respective primary direction, and wherein the light sources are configured such that the primary directions of the light emitted by the light sources are at different angles with respect to a common plane, and a lens configured to direct the light from the light sources to a surface of an object which is to be illuminated.

A hybrid battery includes a converter, a controller, a power source, and an ultracapacitor configured to be discharged. The converter is operable to receive a control signal and to regulate a current level that is allowed to be drawn from the power source to charge the ultracapacitor in accordance with the control signal. The controller is operable to generate and provide the control signal to the converter. The controller is operable to generate the control signal based at least in part on a measure of the voltage level of the ultracapacitor and a measure current being drawn to charge the ultracapacitor.

Printed circuit board direct connection and method of forming the same

A charger for ultracapacitors that allows many ultracapacitors, that may be connected in several different configurations, to be charged from a very low voltage to their rated voltage very rapidly without cell damage. The charger also allows for the detection of failed cells.
