The invention related to a method in the manufacture of a plate heat exchanger (,), preferably a so-called recuperator. This has flow channels arranged between the plates, every other channel being designed to accommodate the flow of a heat-emitting medium and every second channel the flow of a heat-absorbing medium. The flow channels for one of the media, preferably the heat-absorbing medium, are connected in parallel to manifolds for the said medium. The plates also have a raised pattern designed to produce a counter-flow section and two cross-flow sections in the recuperator, one on either side of the counter-flow section, the cross-flow sections having a lower raised pattern height than the counter-flow section. By means of a punching and pressing operation openings (,&prime;) are made in each plate, with side walls formed around the edges of the openings. Following a joining process, in which the side walls undergo pressure resistant jointing, the side walls from walls of the manifolds (,). The entire raised patterns of the counter-flow section and the cross-flow sections on each plate are pressed to their respective raised pattern height in the said pressing operation.

Method of manufacturing of a plate type heat exchanger

The present invention relates to an arrangement in an oil filter with integral oil cooler with a filter material (7) in the form of a tubular casing, which is enclosed in a housing (1). The latter is defined by a cylindrical wall (4) and two ends (5, 6), one (5) of which can be opened for changing the filter material (7). Two essentially concentric annular circulation chambers (8, 9) are arranged in front of the cylindrical wall. Of these the one that connects with the inside of the housing (12) is intended to accommodate the flow of oil and the other which has an inlet opening (10) and an outlet opening (11) is intended to accommodate the flow of coolant. The coolant circulation chamber (8), which is the outer of the two circulation chambers, is divided by a partition wall (25) into two essentially equal sub-chambers (8a, 8b) into each of which an opening (10, 11) respectively opens. In the partition wall (25) there is a passage (19a) connecting the sub-chambers (3a, 3b), the passage being situated equidistant from the mouths (10, 11) of the inlet and outlet openings in the sub-chambers (8a, 8b), in order to obtain a symmetrical flow of coolant in the circulation chamber (8).

Arrangement in an oil filter with integral oil cooler

A fluid connector for connecting to a fluid carrying aperture and an apparatus. A connector includes a fluid conduit having a base. A yoke secures the base to an apparatus by means of a fastener. A seal is provided between the base and the apparatus for sealing engagement of the connector to the apparatus. When the fastener is loosened, the connector can be rotated to orient the conduit as desired.
