Fabric has a printed pattern with a base color and at least one design color. The design color has a plurality of irregular, non-repeating spots. The printed pattern is adapted to abate identification of the fabric by a light responsive device. The fabric also includes metal extending throughout. The metal is adapted to abate identification of the fabric by an infrared, heat responsive device.

Multi-spectral cloak system

A housing has upper and lower faces, front and rear faces and side faces. A vertical bore extends through the housing between the upper and lower faces. A horizontal bore extends into the housing from the front face. The horizontal bore further extends to the vertical bore. A ball valve is positioned within the vertical bore laterally spaced from the horizontal bore. The ball valve is rotatable between open and closed orientations. A lock cylinder is located within the vertical bore. The lock cylinder has an exposed end with a keyway. The lock cylinder has an unexposed end with a connector clip. The connector clip couples the lock cylinder and the ball.

Permanent air locking mechanism

An adhesive preventing system containing a flexible tape member that may be in the form of either a sticker or an elongated tape is disclosed. This flexible tape member has an upper and a lower side and has two patterns printed on the upper side of the flexible tape member, one of which is printed with a material that is capable of bleeding through the flexible tape member and being dispersed into the underlying materials. A pattern which does not absorb the bleed-through material is printed on the underside of the flexible tape member. The underside of the flexible tape member also has disposed on it a frangible layer of material that does not adhere to the pattern printed on the underside of the flexible tape member. An adhesive layer is disposed over the frangible layer.

Tamper indicating adhesive tape

A system for monitoring the occurrence of an event occurring with respect to an essentially metallic enclosure such as a truck body, e.g., the unwarranted opening of a locked door to the enclosure, which comprises a detector within the enclosure which senses the occurrence of the event and radiates a spread spectrum signal which is readily received by an external module mobile relative to the enclosure, so that the enclosure, at any time during its active life, may be externally interrogated to ascertain whether any such event has occurred, the enclosure optionally also containing a separate unit which records the spread spectrum signals for subsequent display and analysis, whereby the security status of the enclosure may be externally monitored at will, thereby to indicate whether or not the enclosure has been tampered with and, optionally, its security history--when and how frequently the event has occurred--may be retrieved.

Security system for a metallic enclosure

A tape is adapted to be secured to a container or other object which when removed therefrom causes the display of a message which was formerly not visible, such as a notification that the object has been tampered with, the tape being provided on one surface with an adhesive layer so that it can be attached to the object and provided on its opposite surface with a release layer so that it can be wound upon itself and readily dispensed without having to remove a protective liner therefrom, the message displayed by the tape both when initially secured to said object and after removal therefrom being located on said one surface of said tape, whereby said tape may be readily and inexpensively manufactured and readily dispensed from appropriate mechanical equipment in large quantity applications.

Message-indicating self-wound tape and method of making same

The security of articles, and particularly articles in transit, is checked by detecting the status of a magnetic strip attached to the articles at a strategic location when the strip is subjected to an electromagnetic field which causes the strip to substantially saturate magnetically, the status of an improper strip, that is to say, a strip whose electromagnetic properties differ from those of a proper strip as a result of physical modification or disparity, being reflected in the nature of the electromagnetic field emanating therefrom, detection of the status of that field providing an indication of whether the strip is proper or not. The same principles can be applied to the coding of articles for validation of identity or authenticity.
