A method for managing mobile terminated (MT)-service information to a multi-subscriber identity module (SIM) user equipment (UE) over non-3rd generation partnership project (N3GPP) access in a wireless communication network is provided. The method includes determining, by the multi-SIM UE, an on-going service on a first SIM of the multi-SIM UE over a 3GPP access; and managing, by the multi-SIM UE, the MT-service information for a second SIM of the multi-SIM UE using the N3GPP access based on the on-going service on the 3GPP access of the first SIM of the multi-SIM UE.

Embodiments herein provide a method and system of reporting a charging information for a Device-to-Device (D2D) communication established using a wireless network. The method includes recording by a first electronic device the charging information associated with a D2D communication session. The D2D communication session is established between the first electronic device and a second electronic device. Further, the method includes determining by the first electronic device whether the charging information meets charging criteria during the D2D communication session. The charging criteria are generated by a network node in a secure environment of the first electronic device. Methods and apparatus are provided for releasing an Internet Protocol (IP) address by a Packet Data Network (PDN) GateWay (PGW) in a mobile communication system. The PGW allocates, to a User Equipment (UE), an Internet Protocol version 4 (IPv4) address and an Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) address to activate a PDN connection. If the UE releases the IPv4 address: the PGW identifies whether a PDN type associated with the PDN connection is an IPv4/v6, which indicates that the UE is allocated both the IPv4 address and the IPv6 address; the PGW transmits, to a Serving GateWay (SGW), a Binding Revocation message including information indicating release of the IPv4 address with the PDN connection remaining if the PDN type is the IPv4/v6; and the PGW receives, from the SGW, a Binding Revocation acknowledge message to acknowledge release of the IPv4 address.

A method of supporting handover of a terminal by a mobility management entity (MME) of a mobile communication system is provided. The method includes receiving, from a base station, a first message for handover to another network. The first message includes information on a cell to which the terminal is handed over.
