A rotor for an electrical machine extends along a longitudinal axis between a drive end and an axially opposite non-drive end, the drive end being attachable to a torque input. The rotor includes: a rotor body extending axially between the drive end and the non-drive and extending in a radial direction orthogonal to the longitudinal axis between an inner side and an outer side, plurality of permanent magnets attached to the inner side a circumferentially distributed about the longitudinal axis, wherein the rotor body includes a plurality of lamination sheets stacked along the longitudinal axis.

Provided is an electrolysis arrangement including a plurality of electrolytic units, wherein each electrolytic unit includes an electrolytic cell and an AC-DC power converter configured to provide DC power for that electrolytic cell; a plurality of electrolytic assemblies, wherein each electrolytic assembly includes a number of electrolytic units; at least one wind turbine including an electrical generator with a number of armature windings, wherein each armature winding provides AC power to one electrolytic assembly; and a converter unit controller configured to regulate the AC-DC power converters of the electrolytic units on the basis of the power output of an electrical generator. A method of operating such an electrolysis arrangement is also provided.

A wind turbine including a hub to which the rotor blades are arrangeable, wherein the hub is rotatable around a rotating axis is provided. The wind turbine further includes a generator including a rotor arrangement and a stator arrangement, wherein the rotor arrangement and the stator arrangement are rotatable with respect to each other around the rotational axis. Further the rotor arrangement is coupled to the hub. The wind turbine further includes a grounding system which is fixable to a nacelle of the wind turbine, wherein the grounding system is configured for transferring lightning current between the rotor arrangement and the nacelle and for providing an EMF shielding of the generator, wherein the generator is arranged along the rotational axis of the hub between the hub and the grounding system.

A method is provided for controlling a DC link voltage of a power converter connecting an electric generator of a wind turbine with a power grid. The method includes determining the rotational speed of a rotor of the electric generator. The method further includes determining a strength of harmonic components of the rotational speed of the rotor, wherein the harmonic components have frequency components being different from a fundamental rotational frequency of the electric generator. The method also includes determining a damping reference signal as a function of the determined strength of the harmonic components, and controlling the DC link voltage of the power converter in response to the determined damping reference signal. A corresponding control system is also provided.

A wind turbine is provided. The wind turbine includes at least one generator adapted to generate electric power and a plurality of electrical converter units adapted to convert electric power generated by the generator and electrically connectable or connected to the generator and to a utility grid. The generator includes a stator being segmented in stator segments. Each stator segment includes a plurality of stator windings. The stator windings of the respective stator segments are divided into at least a first and a second group of stator windings with each group including at least one stator winding. Several or all first groups of stator windings are electrically connected to a first electrical converter unit and several or all second groups of stator windings are electrically connected to a second electrical converter unit.

Wind turbine

A method for arranging magnets of a rotor or stator of an electrical machine is provided. In this method a number of performance parameters of the electrical machine are identified. A plurality of neighboring magnets are assigned to a magnet group. The magnet group includes a reference magnet and at least one further magnet. Further, a number of distinct magnet arrangement variables for the magnet group are identified, such that the number of arrangement variables is equal to the number of performance parameters. A value of an arrangement variable is calculated according to a desired adjustment of a performance parameter. Based on the calculated arrangement variable, an arrangement is determined for one of the at least one further magnet of the magnet group relative to the reference magnet of that magnet group.

An asynchronous power generator for a wind turbine is provided. The asynchronous power generator includes a voltage supply and a stator with stator coils supplied with an alternating voltage by the voltage supply. A method for manufacturing sintered magnet poles is described. The mold is filled with a vitrifiable base material powder and closed with a plate. A magnetic field aligns the powder and a plate pressed onto the powder establishes a compact that holds the alignment in place. The compact is sintered to form a sintered magnet pole. The mold forms a protective cover of the sintered magnet pole and the plate forms a base plate of a magnet pole piece. Furthermore, a magnet pole piece is provided which has a magnet pole and a base plate which is fixed to a protective cover so that the base plate and the protective cover surround the magnet pole. The base plate and/or the protective cover of the magnet pole piece has at least one element that provides a geometrical locking of the magnet pole to the base plate and/or the protective cover.

Method for manufacturing magnet poles

A method for manufacturing sintered magnet poles is described. A vitrifiable base material powder is filled into a mold, the mold is closed with a plate, the mold with the powder is placed in a magnetic field for aligning the powder, the plate is pressed such onto the powder as to establish a compact that holds the alignment in place, and the compact is sintered so as to form a sintered magnet pole. The mold ultimately forms a protective cover of the sintered magnet pole and the plate ultimately forms a base plate of a magnet pole piece. Furthermore, a magnet pole piece is provided which has a magnet pole and a base plate which is fixed to a protective cover so that the base plate and the protective cover surround the magnet pole. The base plate and/or the protective cover of the magnet pole piece has at least one element that provides a geometrical locking of the magnet pole to the base plate and/or the protective cover.

A method for manufacturing of a permanent magnet pole piece comprising at least one magnet which is fixed to a base plate, a protective cover and a filling mass is provided, comprising the steps of fixing of the protective cover to the base plate so that it covers the magnet and so that the protective cover and the base plate are hermetically sealed jointed, evacuating of the interior cavity between the protective cover and the base plate through an opening, injecting of the filling mass through an opening into the interior cavity between the protective cover and the base plate and curing of the filling mass.
