An improved system for fabricating alternating S/Z cabled yarn, for alternating S/Z twisted yarn and for (whether or not alternately) applying a torsion to a yarn, in which critical air flow conditions are obtained at least at the outlet of the torsion chamber of the devices. A method for fabricating alternating S/Z cabled yarn, for alternating S/Z twisted yarn and for (whether or not alternately) applying a torsion to a yarn under critical air flow conditions at least at the outlet of the torsion chamber used in the method, and a product according to these methods.

Jet and method

The current invention concerns an improved system and method for the manufacturing of alternating S/Z cabled yarn) or connected alternating S/Z twist plied yarns, in which tension decrease or increase is avoided by variable longitudinal contraction when twist plying or overtwisting yarns. This longitudinal contraction Is very difficult to predict and leads to tension in the yarns, which can affect the quality. This tension can also be reproduced in the installations. This invention tries to improve this by providing a tension compensator () that (partially) compensates the tensions and forces between different, subsequent forces for processing yarns.

Tension compensator

A winding station for winding textile yarn onto empty tubes is disclosed. The winding station includes a winding mechanism () with two flanges () for gripping the ends of the tube (). Each flange is mounted on a pivoted winding arm (). These arms position the empty tube () in contact with a driving roller () so that the longitudinal axis of the empty tube () is above the longitudinal axis of the driving roller (). A stationary, linear magazine () with a filling end () and a feeding end () is included. The filling end () and the feeding end () of the magazine () are inclined at angle, alpha, of less than or equal to 45&#xb0;, to the driving roller (). A lifting mechanism () includes a pivoted arm () terminating in a tube carrier (). The tube carrier () is configured to bring an empty tube from the feeding end () of the magazine () to a space between the flanges () by an arc movement of the arm (). A winding assembly and method are also disclosed.

A yarn package, provided on a yarn package holder, such as a tube, wherein the yarn is at least partly unstable, such that a variation in the yarn tension results in a rotational movement thereof. The position of the yarn in the yarn package is controlled by the direction of the rotation of the yarn. Also a method for forming a yarn package, wherein the position of the nodes is determined. An apparatus for the production of alternative twist plied yarn and for the formation of a yarn package by winding the alternate twist plied yarn on a yarn package holder, such as a tube, producing alternate twist plied yarn, guiding the alternate twist plied yarn along the longitudinal axis of the package being formed whereby the producing the alternate twist plied yarn is synchronized with the guiding the alternate twist plied yarn along the longitudinal axis of the package.

The machine comprises a yarn guide for axially guiding the yarn on the receiving cross bobbin, for each wound off yarn at least one yarn watcher, a cutting device for cutting through the yarn, a yarn tensioner and a joining device for joining yarn ends, where a yarn monitor with a method of controlling is provided for controlling and correcting the assembled yarn bundle and rewinding the cross bobbin, a gripper device for gripping the yarn ends on the cross bobbin, a gripper device for inserting each yarn into the joining device, a gripper device for receiving and holding the yarn ends, a wind-off eye for the shared winding-off of the assembled yarns installed above the yarn joining devices, and a method of control for these devices, where the method of control are separately controlled.

Automatic assembly machine for yarns

A yarn monitor for an automatic cross winding and yarn assembly machine in which at least two yarns are wound in parallel from two run-off bobbins onto a cross bobbin. The monitor includes a drive roller for driving round the cross bobbin, a driver for rotating the drive roller in two opposite directions and a wind-off eye for leading the two yarns to the cross bobbin. A yarn guide is provided for axially guiding the yarns on the cross bobbin, the yarn guide being installed between the cross bobbin and the wind-off eye for controlling and correcting the position of the two yarns with respect to one another. The yarn guide comprises a cutting apparatus for cutting at least one of the yarns and a driver for the cutting apparatus. A yarn guide is provided for guiding the yarns co-operating with the cutting apparatus. Sensors are provided for detecting the yarns in the yarn guide and for controlling the cutting apparatus. Guiding apparatus is provided for putting the yarns into the cutting apparatus and the yarn guide. A gripper and holder is provided for gripping and holding the yarn ends left after cutting on the cross bobbin and a central control device is provided for controlling all the apparatus.
