Characteristics of micro electromechanical switches can be changed by applying a control signal which either changes one or more parameters of the micro electromechanical switches or which controls beam movement by feedback signals. It is thereby possible to change switching transient time, maximum switching frequency, power tolerance, and/or sensitivity (actuation voltage) of a micro electromechanical switch.

Micro electromechanical switches

The invention relates to a device ( ) for use in the detection of the power that passes through an electronic device, comprising means ( ) for division of the power that enters the device into a first and a second branch. Each branch receives a predetermined proportion of the total input power with a predetermined phase difference between the signals that go into the branches, and the device comprises a first power detector ( ) for the first branch and a means ( ) for summation of the power in the two branches. Power detector with increased detection range

The invention relates to a method for utilizing the available bandwidth in a wireless communication system that comprises a first (ANB) and a second (C/D) communication device intended to transmit information to each other, where each device (A/B; C/D) simultaneously can transmit on a first frequency and receive on a second frequency. Based on the need of the respective devices to transmit information within a particular interval of time, the said interval of time is divided up into a number of sub-intervals, the first device simultaneously transmitting on both the first and the second frequencies within a number of the said sub-intervals, and the second device simultaneously receiving on both the first and the second frequencies during these sub-intervals. The invention also relates to devices and modules intended to be incorporated in such a system.

Method and device for utilizing frequency bandwidth in a wireless communication system with asymmetrical traffic load

A microwave device includes a number of parallel-plate resonators that include at least one dielectric substrate and first and second plates arranged on either side of the substrate. At least one of the plates of each of a number of the parallel-plate resonators includes a current interrupting device such that the current lines of at least one undesired mode are interrupted at their maxima to suppress the undesired mode. There is also described a method of interrupting undesired modes in a microwave device having a number of parallel-plate resonators.

An electrically tunable device, particularly for microwaves, includes a carrier substrate, conductors, and at least one tunable ferroelectric layer. Between the conductors and the tunable ferroelectric layer, a buffer layer including a thin film structure having a non-ferroelectric material is arranged.

Tunable microwave devices

An arrangement for coupling electro magnetic waves, particularly microwaves, into and/or out of a device which includes a dielectric resonator having a non-linear dielectric substrate with a high dielectric constant and a coupling loop. The dimensions of the resonator and the coupling loop are related to the resonant frequency of the resonator. The coupling loop is so arranged in relation to the resonator that the magnetic field lines around the coupling loop match the internal film distribution of at least one mode, which has been selected to be excited, so that only that mode is excited. Coupling is provided only for this mode. The length of the coupling loop is comparable to or larger that the dimensions of the resonator.

Arrangement and method relating to coupling of signals to/from microwave devices

A superconducting notch or band reject filter arrangement includes a superconducting dielectric resonator and a waveguide arrangement including a microstrip line to which the resonator is connected. The resonator is a parallel-plate resonator with a chip of a non-linear dielectric material device on which superconductors are arranged and the waveguide arrangement includes a contact device or a coupling device, the resonator being connected to the contact device of the waveguide arrangement in such a way that electric contact is provided, and the filter arrangement is frequency tuneable. Through the arrangement, the insertion losses are low.
